Ok I dont mean to sound if I was expecting something for doing this challenge but I keep hearing mention of an award. Now I think I know what the award was but I have no clue what it is or what it means.........could someone please explain???

Never thought of saying Low Carb. That is an alternative and still keep the atmosher friendly. I think I will use that ... thanks.

it sounds as though you continue to learn lessons for your woe. maybe you can take a bit of your own selected dressing next time, just in case?
we've seen lasagna mentioned a couple times in this challenge. i wonder if the lady would be up to having you bring an eggplant version or maybe, if she's a good cook, she'd like to try her hand at it. is that something you could be in conversation with her about?

tell me more about that not eating after 7, if you wouldn't mind. how's come?
is this because of our health or a preference such as not being able to sleep on a full stomach?

i'm jealous of y'alls office parties and get togethers. i miss that with church buds. i told jack we were doing a come and go or stay christmas party next year, i don't care where we are living!

Oh, she is a good cook. She started all those restaurants with herself as the chef. Yikes! I can eat almost any veggie, but not eggplant. It's got all those seeds in it and I can't do seeds between my teeth. LOL I used to take a spoon and dig the tiny seeds out of kiwi! People made so much fun of me, that I now chew very gently so I don't crunch seeds. I almost never waste food, but I bought an eggplant this summer to make eggplant parmesan and I tried and tried to pick all those seeds out and ended up throwing it away. It will probably be months before we go back out to her cabin, so I will have time to be more prepared. I will take my own dressing in the future.

My two pastors and a deacon did a skit at the Christmas party on Wednesday, and they blasted us Baptists for the way we have to have food for everything! He was naming just the food that had been present in the last week! We just put the third kitchen in our church and it cost $250,000.

Why are you "missing that with your church buds"? Do you not go to church where you are living now? Just show up at any Baptist church and there's bound to be food somewhere around!

no church buds because we just have not connected with any of the churches here. maybe you knew this, maybe not, but i use to be the chief cook and bottle washer at my church down home. i was always around food,
since moving up north, we just have not been able to find place to call "home" so we aren't involved in anything. and i'm telling you, the north does things much different than southerners.

baptists aren't the only ones to eat at every gathering, sunny. the Christian Church says lets eat and then plans the celebration around it!
