This challenge is for any Member of the ADBB, from Induction to Maintenance. The purpose is get us out of our habit of depending on our great cheeses and hamburgers, the added grains and dairy, and start being more diligent about adding those all important, vitamin fortified, vegetables!
THIS IS A 5 DAY CHALLENGE
MAY 4th THROUGH MAY 8th

Here are the particulars:
First, you have to sign up in this thread! You must state what rung/phase you are on: Induction, OWL or Maintenance. You must be willing to chart your veggie NET carbs for the 5 days of the challenge, and report them daily. Also, you are to try a new veggie that you have never eaten before. Sign up will start on Monday, April 27th and run through Sunday, May 3rd. NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO SIGN UP AFTER MAY 3rd! This award is earned by meeting your minimum EACH DAY, so you will not be able to join late.If you are doing Induction, your challenge is to eat a minimum of 12 NET carbs of veggies each day during the challenge.
If you are in any phase of OWL, your challenge is to eat a minimum of 17 NET carbs of veggies each day during the challenge.
If you are on Maintenance, your challenge is to eat a minimum of 22 NET carbs of veggies each day during the challenge.
Feel free to post the veggie pushing old man graphic in your signature to signify that you are a Veggie Challenger. After you've completed your veggie eating ways, with success, you'll be able to trade the old guy for a really cool award - a head of cauliflower!
WHAT A DEAL!
Now, here's some helpful hints:
- If you are tracking your foods already in a fitday or similar type of program, keep that up and pay particular attention to how many NET carbs of veggies you are getting. If you don't have an account, YOU CAN SET ONE UP or make sure to log on a piece of paper or in your ADBB JOURNAL STATS journal the amount of veggie NET carbs you are eating. Whichever way you choose to keep track, please make sure to use this thread on a daily basis to report your total veggie NET carbs for the day.
- Don't wait till the end of day and try to hit the mark in all one sitting. Spread those veggie carbs throughout the day.

For those of you who are already great at getting in your veggies, and don't think that there any veggies you haven't tried yet, try to come up with a new way to have a tried and true favorite... get creative!
If you are on Induction and are struggling with your veggies... if you have fallen away from the basics of Atkins... if you have been doing Induction for more than 2 weeks and have been "on the fence" as to whether you should move onto OWL or not... or if you just like the company of a great bunch of people striving for the same goal - THIS IS THE EVENT TO JOIN! This challenge can benefit ANY and EVERY body!! We'll be asking/answering questions and trading recipes - FUN! C'mon on over, and share the experience.

I'm going to purchase the latest version online today. I've had about 5 gm. of carbs from vegetables so far today in my breakfast omelet. How do I figure out net carbs for vegies? Oh, sign me up for this challenge!
