          Oops, I missed the deadline. I have 26 pounds to lose as of today. I'm at 151 pounds and my goal is 125.

            Am I too late to join this challenge? I'm going on vacation for the first time in 5 years to Myrtle Beach. The date of the trip is August 8th. My goal is too be 60 pounds thinner by then but the 30 lbs by June 4th sounds like a good stepping stone for me. I want to be able to buy a bathing suit this year and not have to wear a t-shirt over top of it.

                      Can I join in? I'm going back to Illinois for a wedding on June 4th and my goal is to lose 30 pounds by that date! I call that serendipity. As of today I'm at 199.

                        I'm not ready to weigh in, the scale has not been my friend this week, and I think the arrival of TOM may have something to do with it. I have been working out, so I know that I've been losing inches, but we will see in the morning if the scale is still an enemy of mine. If so I may post inches just to prove I'm making forward progess.

                              The Evil Scale has hit me too. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I haven't lost in 3 weeks.

                                Trying hard
                                Here are some suggestions:

                                1 Drink 8 glasses of water daily

                                2. Eat 3 meals a day.

                                3. Stay away from endulge bars and shakes

                                4. Eat only approved induction foods.(if you are still in induction)

                                5. Exercise as much as you can without killing yourself in process

                                6. Hopefully you have Atkins book - follow it closely if you do.

                                7. Only eat until SATISFIED, not stuffed.

                                8. Vary your meat intake, have chicken, fish, beef and pork. Don't worry so much about calories at first. You need to give body fat to burn or it will not start burning any fat.

                                9.Don't drink anything with caffeine - only items with sucralose, marketed as Splenda

                                10. I drink 3 glasses of green tea a day. This burns an extra 25 calories an hour (as I 've been told). Anyway it works for me.

                                Good luck and keep on trying.
