  • Exercise Challenge

    Anyone want to join me in an exercise challenge ? My goal is to walk at least 5 days a week, not sure how long yet. I got a pedometer today, will have to set it up to see how far my usual walk is. We can check in every week (Sundays maybe?) to report on whether or not we made our goal that week.

    Come on, guys. I need some company! Help me commit to weekly exercise!

    I think you should check out the "Exercise Challenges" forum...there is a challenge going on right now.

      I looked that that, but it's in the middle of the 6WEC, and I didn't want to wait until the next one. I thought somebody might be interested in doing an unofficial one in between the 6WECs.

        Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can join in the exercise challenge at any time

          Isn't it a sort of contest to see who loses the most pounds/inches or whatever? If you came in in the middle, you probably wouldn't be able to catch up to everyone else in the "running".

            It is kinda stacked since the people who are just starting out tend to lose the most. But it's been running since longer than I've been here (I think my first 6WEC was #5 or #6) and is a fine tradition.
            I definitely think you should join it now to get a feel for it and then jump in with both feet for the next one.
            Even if there's 1 week left you can still set a one week goal (do 3 miles on the TM this week)
            When I did it I kept setting a 8lb loss goal and kept getting 11 for the 6 weeks.

            Nothing wrong with starting your own tho!

              Ooooh, nice goal! lol I guess I should've asked before I issued my other challenge. Hey, maybe mine could be a newbie challenge, if we tend to lose more and win alot against the more experienced Atkineers. I didn't want to step on anybody's toes and just bull my way in.
