    thank you, thank you!

A couple questions...do you think it is vital to use fitday? I tried it once but found it too tedious to keep my attention.

Also, I was trying to figure out what my goal weight should be. How do you know that?

JAria-- I like fitday, but I agree. It relies on you typing in everything you are going to eat or have eaten for the day. Hellooo meticulousness! Still it helps. Even I, she-who-can-not-file-taxes-due-to-bad-math, can use it, and it does help me very much.

Still, so long as you write down what you eat, you'll be doing well! Journalling helps. Want to know why you might have gained weight one week? You can go to your food diary and see if you ate anything out of the ordinary. This is a good way to pinpoint foods which might trigger allergies, etc.

Only your doctor can truly set your goal weight. I set mine by older standards based on height and medium frame. In the DANDR, he does give an idea of what people generally could/should weigh at their goal, but, again, only a medical professional can fully gauge what your ideal weight should be!

Well, I was down another pound this morning. I had a bad afternoon though and fell off the wagon BAD, so I am expecting not very good results in the morning when I weigh in. I did exercise like crazy tonight at the gym, so hopefully that will help. I have not really cheated since starting in March, so I am really scared about what will happen. I am also really angry with myself.

                Congratulations on your pound lost!

Your homework is to answer the following (you can pm me or post it here). Really think about this.

                1) What led you to cheat?

                2) Did the food solve the problem?

                3) What are some strategies I can adopt for the next time something like that happens?

congrats twg on the pound lost! Most of us have been where you are, beating ourselves up over a cheat. However, like cleo said, the key is to figure out what led you to cheat and come up with a new strategy in case that happens again. Don't dwell too much on it. Today is a new day and you can and WILL do this! =)

Cleo, I'd like to report a 2 pound loss this morning. I did my firm tape last night and it went a lot smoother than the first time, so I should be reaching my first week goal of doing the tape without a hitch in no time! I also upped my intake of water. I really hate water, but I'm making myself drink tons of it anyway!!

Thanks for the feedback. Well, I did start using fitday and I guess I should start using the body comp one to keep track of my measurements. Cant seem to find my measuring tape lol. I did use the old fashioned goal weight thingy which said I should be between 155 and 175, so I'll stick at 160. My best friend is my height and is super skinny at 140, but also has a small frame. I have a mid to large frame, so I think those extra 20 pounds for me would be OK. Thanks for the tips. How is everyone else doing?
