I am still 211.5, but TOM has unexpectedly visited me this morning, so I guess I should be happy I did not gain some water weight. I was wondering what in the world was wrong with me yesterday. I felt like I could eat the world. I think I had 7 eggs yesterday. I just could not feel full. I also have a really weird taste in my mouth. I know I have been in ketosis before, but I have never had this strange taste to this degree. Maybe I am now in "deep ketosis"????? I have heard the taste described as "coppery" and that is exactly what is is.....a really metallic taste. I bet my breath is disgusting. Is there a kind of gum that you all can recommend? I just noticed the sugar free Eclipse I always chewed has 2 CARBS!!!! That is a lot of carbs for gum. Any suggestions?

twg-- I had to stop chewing gum! I know this might drive you nuts if you have a chewing addiction as I did, so start by cutting the piece of gum you chew in half and then wean down from there!

Congratulations on staying put, especially during TOM!

        And woohoo on the ketosis!

Finished my first week of OWL and am moving on to Dairy Rung. It is nice to be broading my food choices a bit. I lost 2 pounds so that puts me at 237/220/199/21 pounds to go! That means I need to lose 1.37 pounds a week to make my NYE goal. If I don't hit a stall I should be able to do this!!

Let me first apologize for this long message, but it is something I need to do. I have listed my menu up until Thanksgiving. I am hoping this will help me loose 3.5 – 4 pounds per week. I plan to work out at least 5 times a week and to do 50 sit-ups each day. If you have any suggestions let me know.

Okay...let me first say...you are way too organized...I am still not sure what is for supper TONIGHT! LOL!
Second...2 cups of lettuce a salad does not make. You should be having 2 cups of salad (see the list in the book) AND 1 cup of other vegie
Third...if you are sticking to induction/extended induction are you using www.fitday.com
to check your ratios out?? You need to make sure you get enough fat and calories or the plan is going to backfire on you.
                                Fourth..you are way too organized
Fifth....if it all checks into fitday and there is enough fat and calories and your fix up your salads it is looking pretty yummy.
                                Sixth....what are wing dings?
Seventh....you should try romaine or spinach instead of lettuce...there is more fiber and nutrients in it.

I am interested to hear what the more experienced Atkins people say to this....
                                Good luck!!
