  • The Biggest Loser Challenge

    Hi All,
    I found out that one of my favorite shows 2nd season starts this sept. its called The Biggest Loser. Well i watched it religiously last season. Its about contestants who go up against each other in teams to see who can lose the most weight. I really like it. Well last season when it was over i was amazed at how much weight the people had lost. I started thinking to myself well emagine if i had done it along with the show, i would have been skinny. So this season i am getting ready to see the show and i have decided to go along with the show and lose the weight with them. Have the show motivate me. When they weight in i weight in you know go along with the show but not be in it. If you get what i mean. If you want more information you can go to the nbc website THE BIGGEST LOSER . The official season premiere is Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 8/7c. I am mountain time so im trying to figure out what time that is for me. If i have to start watching tv at 6 just to figure out what time it starts at i will. lol. I am so excited. My plan is to take measurements and weigh in when they do, which will be measurements and official weigh in the first show and then i believe its just weigh in after that every tuesdays, if they dont move it to another day. I plan on sticking to the Atkins and possibly doint their work out (have not decided). I might just stick with my own workouts. Just wondering if anyone wants to join me. I am so excited. SOOOOO excited. So how about it?

    The Plan=
    1. Official Premier Day Tuesday 9/13 everyone joining i would like to have u post your weight and measurements for the following areas known to myself as the hour glass measurements: C=Chest (fullest part),W=Waist ,H=Hips (Widest Part)

    2. The Show members exercise everyday so i suggest (not required) for you to exercise on your own or to join an exercise challenge of some kind. Suggestions: 6 Week Exercise Challenge or BCtcCW Challenge are two that i am familiar with.

    3. Weighin every Tuesday (when the show members weighin)

    4. Stick with the phase of atkins you are in.

    5. Season Finale - weighin along with measurement listed above again.

    Good luck to all and remember....think about repeating this..........

    Hey Shelly...I will be watching the show with you. I'm just finishing up my induction..weigh day is Thurs(I have buddy I do that with) so while I won't be joining you in participating with the program I will keep my eye out for your posts. It will be exciting for you I am sure! Don't forget to post!!

      I think that if the competition motivates you, then it's a GREAT idea!


      Will you be hooking teams up together, or are you going to see who, individually, in all of the challenge, loses the most weight?

        not quite understand this last question? But im i am understanding this i think that we can check in weekly and mabey if i can convince some one to make some kinda reward we can hand out an award every tuesday to the person who lost the most amount for that week. and then the biggest loser award will be given to the person who lost the most amount of weight from begining to the end of the show. Hey thats a good idea. Hmm i wonder if i could get something going here.

            Hey, girl! I'll admit I've never watched the program, so I wasn't sure if you were putting teams together at this board or if you were making it an individual contest. You answered the question for me!

              Hey Shelly, finally I get here and I finished reading everything!!! I'm in, I will follow the show but I will stick with the atkins and do my workouts and I'll do modifications if there is something in the show that will help me

              I'm not a weighing in all the time believer I don't like the scale and the more you step on that thing and you don't see it go down it just gets frustrating so I stay away from it I'll do weighing in with the show other than that I'm not stepping that scale......

                This show was one of the factors that along with the Atkins program helped make this a very enjoyable year for me. I watched some very out of shape and overweight people turn their bodies around. I was so impressed with the fitness aspect,and that is what got me on the fitness kick. I have probably told a hundred people to watch the second season of shows. Good luck to all who follow along.

                          I'm on my fourth day of induction. First time at trying Atkins. I watched the show last year and it was really motivating. I'm definitely watching this season too. My TIVO is set and ready to go. I don't think weighing will be a permanent thing because of some of what I read, but you can count me in starting next week and for the duration of the show. I think it would be interesting how we score against the people on the show, just for fun.

                            ok all, i am going to try to keep everything posted in the first post on this thread. faster to see for most people.

                            So if you are in on this challenge lets see if every one can weighin today. If anyone else wants to join in let me know and also weigh in. Please remember that most people are in different time zones so please if you see the show first dont ruin it for the others.
