Re: ICES CHALLENGE Move IT (Extended Induction)

Great job on staying strong Lisa. Something that I did was find substitutes to what I used to love to eat. For example if your a coffee drinker get decaffinated green tea with a little splenda. It tastes good, it's warm, it satisfies that need to have a cup in your hand, and it speeds up your metabolism! What a wonderful combination. You guys kicking the caffeine habit have my undying respect, great job!

Reveal - rotfl, that does sound good, I'm in training. I might pick up running just so i can get to say that. I think your vegetable challenge is a great idea. The problem that I faced with my vegetables was that I would get really bored, I didn't know how to prepare the more unusual ones so I stuck to the same old veges and eventually would get so sick of them. Now I know how to cook artichokes, they are my total favorite right now. Also love my turnip fries, and cauliflower fried "rice". What is your favorite vegetable?

Speedy - good job staying strong in the face of your cookie dilema, I know those cookies look good but YOU are going to look so good by the end of this month that it won't even matter what your evil co-workers bring in.

As for me, wonder upon wonders my migraine is gone. I'm surprised, they used to last all day but this time only 2 hours. I did feel my throat was a little scratchy so I really hope I don't get what is going around here lately. I'll be drinking warm tea, eating some chicken broth with lunch, and taking the Vitamin C. Hopefully I can stay one step ahead of it. I am doing so good on the excercise front I really don't want anything to slow me down.

I got to go to Whole Foods today and I treated myself to some really nice cheeses. I am experimenting with cheese right now so I bought Munster and Colby (both organic), I just ate about 3 ounces with another 3 ounces of some delicious organic ham that they sell there. I don't usually buy expensive stuff, but I feel like I've been doing so well I really deserved a little "treat".

Hey check this out--my horoscope for today

                  Greetings Krystle --

Here is your horoscope for Thursday, September 15:

Momentum is building (is that even possible?) higher than it was before. You've
got a vision, and you're dead set on making sure it becomes a reality. Everyone
who hears your reasoning is convinced of the worthiness of your goal.

Re: ICES CHALLENGE Move IT (Extended Induction)

Good morning ladies! I did 3.5 miles last night (running, of course) and for the last mile I did speed work. I'd jog for a half minute and then run like mad for a minute. It wore me out, but my gosh I'm fast! I passed this one man when I was running fast and as I sped by him he said "holy sh*$!" Hee!

This morning I got up and tried to do a weight training tape, just to see what it was like. Well, those of you who do tapes have my admiration, because I could NOT do that every day! For one thing, the cats drove me crazy. For another, if I'm going to get sweaty I just like to do it outside rather than in. However, my legs are already sore, so I think it was a good workout. Just something I definitely couldn't do often!

                    Have a great day!

I am not sure what I am doing today it's a running day but, I feel so offf right now I may take an actual break it would be the first this week. I am not sure I am schedualed to run but, I don't know if my body can. I haven't been able to sleep at all I am thinking it's from the horrid hormones the usual thing that happens around TOM. This month is worse then usual. I can totally tell I am having hormone surges cause last night I was having Hot flashes and I could have got naked I was soooo freaken HOT YUCK. I am also sooo swollen my hands hurt and my feet are HUGE. Gotta drink more water.

I better go take care everyone.

You would all be very proud of me this morning I was trying to talk myself out of running well it didn't work I put on my workout gear and sat around on my but for a bit then I went and did it. I ran 5 miles it was slow as a turtle but, even know it was slow I am still winning this neverending battle. I was so drained and tired I didn't sleep a wink last night TOM is comming up way too fast for my liking but, I pushed through being tired and I ran quite a distance and I am PROUD. I just wanted to share with you cause I feel great about what I did today even know I am still beat.

If you push it while you are sick sometimes you can just make yourself sicker. If you have a fever it means you ahve a bacterial infection especially if it has lasted 3 days My goodness. Get better soon take some motrine and call me in the morning.

Sarah--way to go! You should be VERY PROUD for pushing through. I know that it would be extremely hard to do so. I'd probably cave! How in the he** do you run so far? I can barely run! maybe for short little spurts but nothing like 10 miles!!!! were you able to do this before (not 10 miles, but run?) before Atkins? Or is it just something you acquired while losing all that weight? anywho--CONGRATULATIONS! You did an awesome job!

I didn't run before Atkins I had to lose about 30 pounds before I was able to start it was very slow going I am one of those people who gets out the gate too fast and 2 hard remembering back to when I could run before. HUH , Well the first time out I made it for 7 minutes I was pretty happy at 255 pounds that was pretty good. As time went on I was able to add time. I didn't start to go for distance until I was running for one hour consistantly. I think that was when I weighed about 230 LBS. Since then I have been gradually increasing my milage by 1-2 miles per week. SOme weeks it's soo easy other weeks I remeber from when I started it was very hard. I have come a long way and it has taken me 10 minths to get here but worth every second.

Speedy I can't really tell you how I run so far I just do I guess I am gifted or so damn stubborn that I'll do it no matter what LOL. July of this year I could barely go 6.2 miles now I'm going 10 non stop WOOHOO. I am sooo proud and tahnk you for noticing. ((((HUGS))))

                                Hey guys, how is everybody?

I just finished Start it Up, I am really tired and have about 65 pages to read for a class before I can call it a night. I'm kinda bumbed about this, school has really started, but I made myself a tasty treat for when I'm about half way through. Sarah I borrowed your chocolate balls recipe and I have them in the freezer as we speek, can't wait to eat some of these.

Also I have been craving devilled eggs like crazy, I bought a ton of eggs today so maybe I'll make myself some of those tomorrow for lunch.
