  • RiKKi*s HaLLoWeeN Challenge!!!

    I am challenging myself and anyone else who wants to join me to choose 5 things to stick to

    Mine will be
    1. Water- drink at least 64oz MINIMUM a day... I am staying low because I haven't even been doing that lately!!!
    2. Stick to induction
    3. Every week try a new recipe and post it here when done as to results(good, bad)
    4. Exercise at least 3 days per week- again low but I haven't even been doing that lately!!!!
    5. My goal is to be in onderland by Halloween!!!!! That is 13lbs as of Today 9/27 That gives me 34 days to do it- not too much time, maybe too little but I won't get too discouraged if I don't make it

    I forgot to include my supplements, I will add them to the water one- I will drink my water and take my supplements everyday!!!!

            OK, well check in time for me....
            Water- not so good- Recipe taken care of for the week! I had made egg-mock muffins--- yum. It will be a definite thing for me to keep in the fridge- I never have time in the mornings!!! I weighed this morning and I was down 3.6lbs. All water I am sure- but love seeing those numbers come down~!! I worked for about 14 hours today so I didn't get any exercise in. I went to old navy and bought the cutest pair of pants... didn't try them on in the store and well- They are tooo tight, can't even button them. WAH- However I am not going to take them back. I am going to make myself lose enough weight to fit into them!!! YES- I can do this!!!!!

              Today was ok... Food wise I was good, excersize ...umm, none... I think I am coming down with a cold, so I have been trying to take it easy. I have a hairshow to go to tomorrow in Nashville and will be staying there over night so I am hoping to not feel like poop the entire time!!! I have some housework to get done tonight before going tomorrow so I better get iwht it. Maybe some of that can count as excersize.... Water was pretty good today I think I probably drank about 80oz so far... maybe a couple more glasses before bed...

                Hey! Glad to see you are doing well I would like to join, but I must warn you I think I am a thread killer lol! The past few challenges I was in just fizzled out.

                But I have the exact same goal as you - Onederland by Halloween!!! I would be soooooo happy if I made this goal!! I am at 212.2 today, so I would like to lose about 13 pounds. 13 pounds by Halloween - it is almost fitting

                I dont think I have 5 things to do, but I do need to increase my exercise (which has slipped down to dog walks and that's about it) and remember to take my supplements more often. I will try to post often but probably won't make it every day.

                Okay, one month to go until Onederland, we can do this!!!

                Did Atkins back in 2005 and went from 262 to 182!
                Starting Nov 4th 2009 again at 195
                First mini-goal: 187 by thanksgiving
                Second mini-goal: 181 by Xmas trip to see in-laws in LA, size 14's!

                  Well, I am off to the grocery to buy lots of good stuff to eat for the week... I am not sure what new recipe I am going to try this week...

                  Just got back from the hairshow this afternoon. Had fun. Didn't cheat foodwise but I did have several beers.... I think I will be alright though

                    Thanks for the welcome!! Glad you had fun at the hairshow! Me and my fiance went to disneyland for the day, lots of fun but now my feet hurt! Hopefully all the walking I did will act as my exercise for the day. Had a chicken ceasar salad while there and lots and lots of water. This morning I was 211.5, I was so excited because I finally broke the -50 pound barrier officially!! Anyway I am off to see a movie tonite, hopefully tomorow the scale will also show a loss. Hope you have a goodnight!

                        Woooo hooooo I weighted in this morning and I have lost another 3.4 lbs!!!! Yeah! I am sooo excited! I am 1/2 way to my Halloween goal and almost to onederland!!!!! It is closer than I have been in a long time especially considering how my mindset is! I am very motivated right now....

                        OK- brekkie is going to be an egg with turkey bacon, or maybe I will just add bacon bits to the egg and scramble with some zuchinni- dunno...

                        water- I will make myself get it down today!!!! at least 100 oz...
                        I will come home from work and workout for at least 20 minutes tonight.
                        I will go to the GROCERY directly from work so I don't put it off again!!!


                        OK- Running late-gotta get ready for work and feed all of my critters!!!!

                        Mary- Hope all is well with you today!!!!! Lemme know how you are doing when you can!

                          Hey, Rikki! Congrats on the 3.4 pound loss that is so awesome!!!! You are so close that is so cool! Today the scale went up a pound to 212.5, but I know the scale likes to fluctuate occasionally to mess with me and kick me in the butt, and it works... I exercised on the treadmill today and walked my dog and might do some more later if I have time. Take that scale! So I definitely have a renewed interest in exercising. I had really been slacking.

                          I need an October exercise goal. I think I will try to walk a total of at least 20 miles this month, so that's about 5 miles a week, not including dog walks (because I don't seem to get my pulse up enough).. Yes, that sounds good. Okay, 1.25 miles down so far

                          I've been drinking my water, but I don't measure how much I drink. I just drink as much as I can throughout the day. My food is usually always the same - though I do deviate occasionally... I usually have 2 poached eggs with american cheese melted over them in the morning... It tastes like an egg mcmuffin without the muffin,, I love it! For lunch I have tuna & mayo with a slice of swiss cheese.. dinner usually varies.. somedays it's salmon (when my wonderful mother in law to be cooks it for us), or chicken, or somedays it's tuna again. I am a creature of habit

                            I wouldn't be a bit suprised if my scale went up some tomorrow as well. My weight fluctuates greatly... Way to go on the exercise. I drank my water today as well... Didn't really get my exercise in as I had planned but ran around walmart for an hour if that counts for anything!!! I WILL GET up tomorrow off of my butt and do some exercise!!! If it is nice I think I will take the dog for a jog!!!!!

                            I cooked chicken tenders breaded in parm tonight with buffalo sauce and ranch for dipping. I also tried to make pumpkin fries but found it darn near impossible!!!!! I don't know if my pumpkin was way to tough or what but sheesh... I ended up iwht a fw tiny pieces and they were good if they were burnt... I didn't care for them unless they were very very brown... anyway... I also cooked up some egg mock muffins for breakkie this week.... So I should be set for a bit. I plan on cooking a whole turkey breast tomorrow so that should give me something to munch on for a few days!

                            I also bought plenty of extra lean burger(96/4) to cook some soups with adn I thought I may try to make a low carb meatloaf a friend sent me the recipe for. She is on Southbeach so I will have to tweek it but it still sounds pretty good!

                            OK- So my pumpkin fries count towards my new recipe and they were ok- but way way way too much work!!!!! It took us 10 minutes to saw through the darn thing!
                            Water- Good. At least 100oz today I think!
                            Induction- Check
                            Supplements- check
                            exercise- fooey- ok tomorrow, I promise!

                              OK- GREAT morning so far!!! I actually got my lazy butt up and exercised!!! I went to the park and jogged/ walked for a couple miles... I would rotate 1/4 mi jog, 1/3 mi walking... it will take time but I know I can get back up to jogging more than a mile! Feeling good also b/c the scale didn't go back up today like I thought it may! Yeay!!!!! I had 2 brekkie muffins this morning and they were yummy. Going now to look for baby shower stuff for my friend!!!! How are you doing today Mary?
