Effie...it is not what I have been doing but the question really is what has CLEO been doing with my clothes!!! LOL!

Cleo...I am subscribed to recieve notices already...maybe it is because I always have a couple of windows open and it thinks I already know each time a post is made...LOL. Thanks for giving my bra back.

Shashee...you are still one of the group! You cannot escape us...mwha mwha mwha..okay...that was supposed to be an evil laugh but it sounds more like a clown horn or something.

twg...darhlink...how are you doing??? Let us know.

Okay...now about me...3 pounds down. What I did good this week was I tried to make sure that my calories were up to my BMR and I ate at my carb level everyday. What I didn't do so good this week....I used skim milk and cream to increase my carbs
and calories(I would do this at the end of the night before bed....warm it up and add vanilla and cinnamon..YUM). And I only drank 8 cups of water a day instead of my usual 16-18 cups a day.
Overall...I think I am doing pretty good considering the kids have been home now for 2 weeks because of the teacher strike here in British Columbia and I have them doing worksheets. But of course I have to sit there the whole 3 hours while they do them or they would never get done.

Okay, I surrender to the low carb Gods. Damn. I have been gone contemplating being fat and "happy" or being thin and happy. I think I really truly have a big problem. I should have (could have) married a hostess cupcake.

I am not weighing in. I am on induction day 1. I am looking for recipes for foods that I will be able to eat for the rest of my life that resemble good things such as cheesecake, chocolate goodies, etc. I just feel like I need to have something I can fall back on when the chocolate sugar monster attacks me! If anybody has any good induction friendly recipes and maybe some for later owl rungs, pass them my way. I need some ammunition under my belt!

Congratulations to everybody who is losing and doing good! And congratulatoins to those of us who are not doing so good, just for being here and trying! GO US!

This is where I tell you to definitely search the board for induction-friendly recipes and to look for ideas in your 2002 DANDR. I am a person who eats the same thing, day in and day out, so my recipes aren't going to help so much!

Check the sticky in the STAC foprum for the never-ending recipe thread. I know my smack yo mama scramble and many other recipes there are induction friendly and I've already made a few!

Do you have the Dr Phil book? I know what you're going through (trust me) and I know his book has made such an amazing impact in my life!

And just talk, talk, talk! Talk to us! Let us know what you're feeling. We're here for you! You can do this! I know it~!

Splandrea, this isn't a dessert recipe, but it's still the best recipe ever, Atkins or not. http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/italian_casserole.html I haven't made this in about 2 weeks, and I miss it. It's so good. It definitely satisfies cravings for pizza, pasta, and pretty much any comfort food.

I also need to reinduct. Every morning I wake up and think "THIS is the day I get back on track", and then I eat a candy bar for breakfast.

                                Hello All,

Well I have to tell ya I was getting so discouraged. I had stayed the same for 2 weeks. (Up, down, up, down) I'm sure this is the norm for alot of people. So anyway I figured I'd do a measurement and see what was up and low & behold I am down to 29" waist and 34" chest. My waist when I started was 40" so that's 11 inches lost. WOOOHOOO! I was a 36" chest so 2 inches there. I'm glad to be rid of those. DH won't be happy LOL. I have started a workout regimen also. I said now if I don't lose something after working out I quit! And who knows if I really would have quit but we've all been there right? Saying that's it I quit...I did read that once you start working out you will retain some water at first. It's kinda like putting your body through some foreign trama type thing til it gets used to it. I knew there had to be changes happening because my rings are so loose now they just swing around. My pants are all falling down ( london bridges falling down, falling down) LMAO. DH has lost a total of 21 pounds and I am stuck at 15 so that is my biggest discouragement but I know men lose faster. It just totally ticks me off because he can eat all kinds of stuff including frankenfoods and also eating late and yet he still loses Oh well anyway I am ecstatic for myself and thanks so much for listening!!

                                -Michelle
