Hi All...
Just thought I should check in and let you all know whats up. Tomorrow is official weigh-in day for me and the same thing has happened to me this week as it did last week: Last week, I lost 2 lbs. before Labor Day weekend. I did excellent all weekend and passed up lots of temptations. After I got home and weighed in last Monday, I had gained those pounds back just from looking at the food apparantly...thus leaving me stalled :anger
This week, I was finally happy to see 1 1/2 lbs. come off, and I was encouraged to see my stall broken. This morning (one day before weigh-in) I hopped on the scale to see I not only gained back the 1 1/2 lbs. but also put on a pound more!
The only thing different I see is I began using the ortho-evera patch this past Tues. to help with TOM. Do you think this might be affecting me?? I am sooooo frustrated, and I am to the point where I feel like I just can't keep doing this. Anyone else go through these horrible periods of stalling? And if so, how did you stick with it? I have done this way to long to just fall off the wagon now. ANY words of advice would be appreciated. :help
Hopefully when I weigh in tomorrow, things will change for the better. Will let ya all know! Thanks for listening to me gripe! :bang

Hi all - I'm down two more pounds to 180. One more pound will get me to a total of 50 pounds lost on atkins. I hope everyone is doing well.Towanda the avenger, righter of wrongs, queen beyond compare

starting the second time around and I'm not weighing this time. the last time I tried this, as soon as I hit 50 pounds lost, I went off for a weekend to celebrate, and it turned into 3 years off. No weighing for me ever again!!

Oh, Michelle73, I feel for you. You've come so far and this must be incredibly frustrating! I don't know anything about the patches, but when one is playing with hormones, anything is liable to happen...hang in there, girl. Look at this as a VERY INTERESTING aberation...and something that you will look back at in a couple of months and shake your head at and chuckle (after a few pounds mysteriously disappear..).
Good work everyone who was able to stay on program this week and see gratifying results!
I'm down ONE pound, to 232, MYSTIQUE.
A long way to my Christmas goal, and I'm off on holiday next week..lots of buffets in the mix, but I'll try to be careful so I don't have too many hitchhikers travelling home with me :yikes .
Even though I'm pretty sure, (because of the rate I'm losing) I won't make my Christmas goal, I am staying here in this forum, because it motivates me, and you guys are very inspiring.
I won't be able to weigh in for two weeks. See you then.

Why do I do this???
It seems like everytime I hit one of my mini-goals I set myself backwards. Yesterday, right after posting I went to this Japanese festival and cheated on 2 pieces of sushi. I was so happy to have hit the mini-goal for myself but now I know that I need to get ready for a few week stall. Does anyone else do this? I don't really cheat all out but I knew I shouldn't have the sushi but couldn't resist. I can resist everything else-but when I have the chance for something I'm not around a lot it sure is hard.

Congratulations to all the losers this week!
To all of those that are having stalls, hang in there. I know what it's like to have slow weight loss, because I'm on BC and I have thyroid problems! Due to these problems, I'll lose a pound, and then gain it back. Then finally I'll lose a pound and it will stay off! :joy Just keep trying, and remember: even if you lose slowly, at least you're still losing! :hug

Well, I'm bummed again this week. On the bright side, I am almost 1 week SMOKE FREE! Unfortunately, I seem to be the typical *quitter* and have gained weight this week! So I will be dropping down further in the list. :anger :anger

To everyone else...congrats on your losses...and sympathy toward your stalls. I'm not weighing in today, since I'm on a one month no weigh, but just wanted to see how everyone else is doing. I won't lie...I'M DYING TO WEIGH!!! I never realized quite how bad a power that dumb scale has over my life.

hi guys! i am back from vacation..... it didnt go very well.... i ate loads of carbs!!! :sadblinky but doing indutcion over again tomorrow... and as for michelle73 i started the ortho evra patch a couple months ago and it has not affected my weight at all. but maybe it is different for some people. anyways, i have not weighed myself for the week... i am kinda scared to see what it says.. :no
