I think you made a wise decision. There might be 3 pounds left on your 'to do list', but they are as unwelcome as the first 3 you decided to lose. Once they pack their bags and leave home, they will be annoyed for sure and talk to everyone they meet on the road, suggesting that they find devilish ways to catch you unaware and take up residence, in their place. :yikes

It's truly a great motivator to log in here and get the warm support that we all need during this journey...and the at-times difficult one ahead of us after we meet our goals, both mini and final ones.

Technically I lost 1/2 pound, but that isn't enough to show a change on the list. So, I stayed the same at 167.

Not bad considering DH and I went to St. Louis for 4 days and that meant restaurants 3 times a day and happy hour. My only indulgence was dessert on our anniversary.

Yes, I call it an indulgence and not a planned cheat because, 1. I'm far from induction and most of my weight loss has occurred, and 2. I'm supposed to be learning how to control my eating in real situations and such indulgences, although infrequent if not rare, will be part of my life. The dessert was great, but I liked what DH had even better, LOL

Dreading Thanksgiving

I haven't checked in for a while. I'm down to 173 now. I've kinda had a mini plateau going back and forth from 178 to 175 but finally broke through that. I told myself that no matter what I weigh-goal or not-I'm eating what I want at Christmas. Then today...I got talked in to eating what I want at Thanksgiving. A BIG BIG part of me wants to eat and I tell myself-oh one day won't matter. Then I think-no, no that'll take you out of ketosis. Oh-I just don't know what to decide!

Also, am I way behind were I should be? I had heard to estimate losing 10 pounds per month. That means I should've lost 70 pounds by now since I started in May. I've only lost a total of 44 pounds. I haven't cheated...so why haven't I lost more?

A 10 pound estimate per month is a lot. I haven't lost that much in average and I'm heavier than you. I go by 1 pound per month, that way I'm just extra happy when a whoosh happens....

You have come a long way...be proud! And congratulations on breaking the stall!
