    Re: ~~~Winter Onederland Challenge~~~

I'm back. I've just been very busy with work and kids. Still doing good with eating. Have not been good with water consumption or exercise. The scale is making me mad. I will not be making my goal of 199 by Thanksgiving. I think I am starting the PMS water weight gain. I really need to learn to just stay off of that scale. The good thing is that even though I'm frustrated, I haven't binged. In the past when I have gotten frustrated with the scale I have thrown in the towel. I guess the difference now is that I know I NEED to lose weight for my health and for my kids. I have insulin resistance which is one step from diabetes. I need to get things under control.

      Kim,

You can do it...I have already been able to cut my meds in 1/2 for Type II so it is fixable. Stick with it.

Good job for sticking with it! Somedays I make that my goal over losing weight. I know it's more important for me to just stay on the wagon some days then it is to worry about losing X number of pounds. But eventually the weight will come off too!! And this is definitely the best WOL for insulin resistance and diabetes. My blood sugar levels were skyrocketing before I started, and are now completely normal and healthy!!

I restarted my exercise program yesterday (after a week and a half of being sick) - so I knew that my muscles would be retaining as much water as they could. I prepared myself for that because that's what always happens and I was right - the scale was up this morning despite "feeling skinnier". No worries though! I have made peace with the scale lol!

Glad your back in onederland, Rikki! I knew you'd be back down in no time. Awesome job!!

          day uno!
I went to the store last night and stocked up on loads of good foods, and today is my first day REALLY kickin butt. with one exception... Usually in the mornings I have coffee with splenda and that international flavored creamer stuff. well I remembered to do the decaf thing (which caused a huge headache for about 4 hours) But I just whizzed through putting the vanilla flavored creamer in there without even thinking about it and didnt realize until id drank about half! I'm sure it isn't THAT much of a cheat, not like pigging out of fries, but how annoying! ARGH. Habits suck...

I would go to the creamer and see if it tells you the carbs and take that out of your total of 20 for the day and then throw the creamer in the trash. You can do it...one minute, one day, one week at a time.

Hmmm, I would at least count one to be safe. Then, try to go without it if you can or until you can find out how to count it.

You are such a *scale lover*. Geez, I wonder why? I will be kissing the scale the day I see 199.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I hope you all have a great day.

I think I got a case of the holiday blues because I couldn't stop eating last night even though I was full. I mean I was bingeing on cheddar cheese omelletes of all things! I kept wanting to cheat, so I figured I better just eat a bunch of legal foods to get through the night. I really don't like holidays when I'm not around my own family, they depress me. But I can't afford to fly up there this year while I'm saving up for my wedding. We're having a low-carb Turkey dinner today luckily, not a lot of temptation. Well, just gotta get through today, then I'll worry about the losing weight part again.

                        Have a great Turkey Day!

                              Guys I have a question for y'all!
TOM showed up a week early and bumped me up 3 lbs overnight on the second day of my induction, but then I dropped 3 lbs the next morning. All the cravings plus it all happening -ON- thanksgiving is a pain. But here's the question for the day- Once TOM goes away, can I still expect the same woosh as a normal induction without TOM?
