My horoscope again...lol...Apparently I ca't do anything alone this month! LOL

Other people are the most important aspect of your day today, dear Aquarius. You will find that alone, things might get a bit difficult and unruly, but as long as you connect with others, you will find that even the most challenging task is almost effortless. One toothpick is easily broken in half, but realize that 20 toothpicks put together are just as strong as steel. Conjure up this power created by a force of people who all share a common goal.

          Rikki,

My day went fine. I tried to step up to the three mile walking tape and got my kicked after 30 minutes, but I stayed with her for that long.

                Re: ~~~Winter Onederland Challenge~~~

LOL! Ok, I am checking in. I am still on plan I did only get 96 oz of water in yesterday--goal is 100 oz. Oh, my gosh, that's a lot of water. Sounded good when I made the goal. I'll try to get that extra 4 oz in today.

Got through the night with only muscle twitches instead of the bad cramps. They are still very annoying. I have to get some magnesium today. If I can't get rid of the problem I will see my Dr. for a prescription Potassium supplement. I might try a WATP tape this a.m but am a little nervous between the incisions and the cramping. I will take it slow and see how it goes. Sorry to whine.

You guys are so inspiring It's really fun to come here and read how you all are doing!

                  Kimmy,

I am sorry you are feeling so poorly. I tell you what, just put in your favorite CD and walk for 15 minutes. It will get your blood flowing and should not bother the incision. Whining is ok as long as you are still checking in!

                    Re: ~~~Winter Onederland Challenge~~~

I'm not sure what I want my goals to be; I guess my main goal would be to exercise at least 4 - 5 days a week. I did exercise for 1 hour last night. I'm hoping to be down 10 pounds by Thanksgiving, so that would be another goal.

I have been very good since my first day. I went to lunch with my daughter and her friend at a wonderful mexican place today. I wanted chips and salsa so bad, but, I stuck to the steak fajitas, no beans, rice or tortillas; had only the steak, peppers, onions, cheese, guacamole and sour cream. Man was it good and I felt really good afterward too.

I do have one question though; once you've started the Atkins program how long do you have to wait to use the keto-stix?

Hope everyone has a great day and thanks for your support!!!!

OK here is my confession...I am sure those of you who read my journal will already know what this is about...I ate a bag of peanuts and a diet Splenda coke today. I fell off the wagon. Darn it. I wanted to confess and recommit to a better tomorrow.

Well..I certainly have read of worse cheats Deb! At least it was still legal. The diet pop wouldn't even be considered a cheat by some. Are you still doing induction? If so maybe you want to move on up the rungs...at least to the nut one. Don't be afraid. I have been on the rungs for 2 months and have lost a total of 20 pounds. The other 12 I lost doing induction/extended induction the first month.

                          Elsie,

I have so much to lose (another 85) that I am afraid to move up the rungs yet. I think I am going to do extended induction until the first of the year and then move up one then. I just want to do this legally and learn new habits and I am afraid of adding in new things.

                            No more scales...

                            Hello Onderland Challengers!

I have made a decision for myself. I am a slave to the scale and because I have been exercising I have gone up 8 and then down 2 and up and down so I am stopping the roller coaster. Let me off the ride.

I am not going to weigh in again until Wednesday, November 23 at the doctor's office. Since that is the day before the Thanksgiving challenge ends, I will wait until then and just let nature do what it must.

If you hear me whine about a scale before then, feel free to hit me! HARD!

                              Deb,
I have the same problems with scales. I have mine put away in the closet so it's not easy to access. Once I even had my husband hide it from me. That about made me crazy. I am going to get on mine after 14 days of induction and then Thanksgiving morning. I will admit I sneaked a peak yesterday before I put it away and I was actually at 205 which is my Thanksgiving goal. My body has been known to do funny things with weight though, so I'm not changing my goal or moving my turkey til 14 days are up. Good for you for stopping with the peanuts and not making one little slip up a license to really chow down

I am still following plan. A little nervous about how I will feel at work tonight. I am working 12 hr night shifts tonight and Sunday. Am scared I will get extremely hungry or light headed and feel like eating something I shouldn't. I will have to plan ahead and bring food.

My muscle cramps are improving with the calcium/magnesium/potassium combo. I also found a better multi-vit to take.

Well, better go tackle my kitchen. Have a great day everybody!!

                                Kimmykins,

Yes, take plenty of snacks with you tonight. As I found at the hospital yesterday, the gift shop and cafeteria have LIMITED healthy options! Darn it. Plan, plan, plan...You can do it girl! I know it.

Yep, the scales are off limits till the day before Thanksgiving when I go to the doctor. I am going to be good until then and not peek. Maybe, I will have a nice surprise when I go weigh in!
