      Thanks Rikki
I tend to eat one 'treat' from the rungs each day and the rest of the time stick to induction. That way, I manage to keep it to around 20g.
My father has been very ill in the last two weeks - I went away on holiday for a week and when I got back he was in intensive care. I didn't even know he was ill. He had acute pneumonia and a mystery infection. I am delighted to say that he is now (amazingly) off all medication and is at home after just two weeks in hospital.
Unfortunately, I did fall off the wagon during this time but sometimes didn't eat at all. I put on four pounds but thankfully, have lost all of those pounds on the first day back on induction.
My short term goal is to lose 21 pounds by NYE but I know that will be pretty hard to achieve now.
I apologise for this but when is thanksgiving? I am a brit and we don't celebrate/know much about it here.
Thanks for welcoming me. I am so looking forward to getting to know you all more and to finally hitting onederland!

              Welcome Zarabelle!!

I am home today with my 3 little ones. My oldest daughter is going to be tied up with school activities til about 9 (was 10 last night). I work at 10 tonight til 7a.m. Will get home from work, get the kids off to day-care, sleep for a couple hrs, then go pick up 4 year old for pre-school. Not sure if I'll be able to fall back to sleep after that--usually can't. Maybe that would be a good time to start exercising. I need a good kick in the butt to get moving. I just get flustered and stressed with my busy life that I have a hard time getting to it. I know though that everyone is busy and it's a choice how we spend our extra time.

I am doing well with the eating. My dear sweet, skinny, 102lb mom decided I needed a treat yesterday and brought me Breyers cookie dough ice-cream. I did nicely tell her I couldn't eat it. She honestly had forgotten that I told her I was trying to lose weight. I have stayed away from it I will have my water consumption in today. I should also get a start on tomorrows water while I work tonight. Have a GREAT day everybody

Thanks Deb and no problems Rikki. I am on an American site after all! I need to get to know your celebrations!

I really hope to lose as much as possible before thanksgiving. Hopefully 2 pounds a week if I can.

Do you have turkey and stuff on that day? Same sort of stuff as Christmas?

Kimmy- You are doing great! Wayt o go on not eating the ice cream- Now, feed it to your kids or get it out of the house!!! LOL

Zara- yes, we eat the same types of things for it as we do Christmas. I am planning on taking food(we are going to my moms and there will be bunches of people there) I am goign to make mock mashed potatoes, green bean casserole made with Lories cream of mushroom recipe and maybe by then I can find somethign to replace the french's onions. I may make some low carb cranberry sauce and some low carb punkin pie without crust or sweetened condensed milk... That is probably going to be the toughest day of the year for me!!! That and Christmas when we go to visit Brian's parents in Connecticut! They have so many good restaurants there!!!

I made dinner earlier and just had about 1/2 a serving.
I made eggplant lasagna for me and in another pan real lasagna for bf
                  YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I slice the eggplant and layer it with a bit of ricotta cheese with mozzarella and egg mixed(you can omit for induction and use just mozzarella), mushrooms, lean beef, green peppers, no sugar added sauce, I topped mine with provolone! I baked at 350 covered for about 30 minutes tehn uncovered and cooked for about 15 more! YUM!

I am cutting back on my calories so I didn't fry the eggplant first, normally I would have dipped in egg then parmesan cheese fried in olive iol then layered with the other stuff.... Oh on my way to a healthier me!!!!!

                          Rikki,

It sounds yummy. Since I am not counting calories too much yet (I keep an eye out, but not too much) I may go ahead and fry it first. You know, I have never ever eaten eggplant. How weird is that!

eggplant is one of my favorite foods!!! Especially eggplant parm. There is a true italian restaurant here that makes an eggplant parm sub on wheat bread and it is to die for- but we won't talk about that!!! LOL- We went there the other night and I was good. I ate the toppings off pizza and had a small salad! Thats something I couldn't have done a couple of months ago!!!

It just goes to show how strong you are becoming. I know the other stuff would have been awesome, but you would have felt bad about it later and that is no good. You are strong and you will make onderland SOON!

Thank you thank you deb! Thats what I am hoping for... Feeling bloated tonight and have drank 3 sodas- not usual for me! I haven't been drinking that many in one day! and that is just in the past like 4 hours. I will drink water after this one I promise... I think it is definitely almost tom... oh well. I may not weigh tomorrow- who am I kidding- I will too, and I will NOT get upset if it is higher. I have a feeling it will be. I think I had too much sodium tonight, plus tom is coming.... ick!
