    Hey that's cool, me and my fiance have been engaged for about 3 and a half years too lol.

    Strange that we both have been struggling so much!! I don't know what's been going on. Maybe it is the holiday season? I don't know. I will do really good one day and then won't be able to stop binging on legal foods the next two days. And have been wanting to cheat SO BADLY... The past few months I was like NEVER tempted to cheat, but lately it has been taking every iota of strength I have to not give in!!!

    I was wondering if I have been pushing myself a little too hard and not eating enough. . So this week, instead of worrying about weight loss I've decided just to ease up a little bit and focus on getting back on track.

    Some things I'm going to try:
    -Stop eating Cheddar cheese. The past few recipes I was using cheddar cheese with were SOOO delicious that I kept eating and eating. I am going to go a week without the cheddar to see if that helps. Maybe it is a trigger food for me.
    - Not worry so much about keeping my caloric intake so low just to lose faster. I may have been eating too few calories and maybe that's what was making me feel like binging. I think my body was feeling like I was starving it and that might have set off the cravings to cheat.. Maybe I should be making my meals bigger, but sticking to my three meals a day. Even if I lose slower, it is better then quitting!!
    - Don't exercise more then one hour a day. Last week a few of the days I had exercised 2 hours a day. Lost a heck of a lot of weight the next day, but I'm more worried about consistently losing and staying on the wagon!!!

    Well that is the game plan, I will let you know how it turns out. Today was good so far. Another thing, I'm going to give myself a break from the scale for a few days. At least until Wednesday. I hope I didn't gain too much from the past 2 days where I couldn't stop eating things like omelets and cheddar cheese snacks. But if I did I wont' beat myself up for it!!

      Girl- lets throw the scale out till Friday? Deal? at least till friday, we will both do our best and see the results then? what do you think?

      I think I have been doing the same things too... I am also thinking OWL may be the thing to do for me... I am gonna try to get the book today as I have lost mine but I need to re read it for sure!!!

      Last night I dreamed of Bread and peanut butter, I don't even like pb sandwiched? what the???????? LOL I dreamt I cheated and had to change my siggy to start all over again!!!! That the cheat free for 70 days went to cheat free 0 days!!!! AHHHH!!! LOL

        Ahhh I love those kind of dreams, I have them all the time lol! I always wake up feeling so guilty that I work really hard and exercise that day lol! I especially love the dreams where I can taste what I'm eating - because it's liike enjoying the food but without the carbs lol!

        I am totally for not weighing myself until friday, I think I need to give myself that break, I have been focusing far too much energy on that darn scale!!

        Like I pretty much mentioned in my last post, this week I'm focusing more on getting back on track (not binging and getting my confidence in my ability not to cheat back), then it is about losing weight this week. Although some weight loss would be nice too

          Ah, I just got done working out. It is almost 8 and I haven't eaten, I may just have a tiny something... I am trying not to eat late but I am hungry!!! I did RIU, TJ20, and 6pk. Yeay me!
          For food today I had...
          1/6 spinach, mushroom, sausage, cheese quiche
          a few slices salami/pepperoni/.5oz cheese
          burger from ocharleys with bacon and cheese and a bit of broccoli and yellow squash
          dinner is undecided yet... I did have some lunch meat though to tide me over...

          I need to get in the shower... I stink! LOL

          OK Mary- we won't weigh until Friday, although I am not sure of my starting weight, I am thinking like 202. something... I dunno!

            Way to go, rikki!!


            I did okay today as far as eating goes. I ate enough calories that I probably won't lose, but not enough to gain anything from either. I took 2 20 minute dog walks (one with a little bit of jogging in there), and stopped eating around 7:30 pm. Still having a hard time with cravings. I feel like I'm back at day one. Maybe I was knocked out of ketosis and didnt' realize it.

            I did find out that the bacon I've been eating uses sugar for curing. I was wondering why this bacon tasted so darn good, it tasted almost sweet so it probably uses a lot of sugar!! I need to be more careful about things like that. Darn sugar is everywhere you look!!

            Tomorrow my goal is to go back to Curves in addition to eating right and trying to get my cravings under control.

              Mary- this morning I woke up and almost weighed myself, until I thought of you! I stepped away from the scale, and went to get some breakfast! Right now I am eating my crustless quiche and getting psyched to do RIU! I think I am gonna do a bit more but I am not sure yet... I have volunteering to do today and then I will be cleaning proabbly the better part of the afternoon! yuck!

                Awesome!!! I was tempted to weigh myself today too, so this challenge within a challenge is really helping me!! I felt like I had a "skinny day" where i woke up feeling thinner.. But I really think not weighing myself until friday will help me lose more. It's weird but the last 2 times I got down to 193.5 and then felt so buoyed by my success that I think I felt like it was okay to overeat. I don't know why we play these games with ourselves!! Anyway, it's definitely nice to take a break from that scale!!

                What volunteer work do you do? I haven't done any volunteering in over a year, I feel guilty lol. Okay on my list of To-do's today.. Clean my bedroom!! Need to stop at the mall for something.. Go to Curves when they open (at 4)... okay that sounds good, I'll start with the cleaning. oKay.. here I go... .... ..... hmmm I'm still here.... okay let's try this again.. here i goooo..... ....

                  Girl I have been having that problem all day long........ sheesh, I still haven;t gone to do my colunteer work. I think I am going to try to go this evening instead of in the mornings and see how that goes. I volunteer witha pet rescue and we have animals at Petco for adoption, but none of the animals can be adopted out without one of our representatives there, so that is why I have to go! I am going to go once a week for one hour, however, it is tricky finding that one hour that will be good for me every week.....

                  I didn't really have a skinny day I just didn't feel quite as bloated, but I didn't weigh.. tempting though! OK, I am putting my scale in teh closet until Friday, that way if I wake up groggy and just head for it, it won't be tehre and I will remember why!

                    I am not doing very well with my goal of not stepping on the scale. So far it hasn't back-fired as I have been going down lately. But, I know that if it stops going down or goes up I will get very discouraged. I HAVE to stay off that scale.

                    I have been struggling with the exercise. First of all just finding the time--I have all kinds of excuses 2nd of all my mind is trying to convince me that if I start my weight will go up. I am very obsessed with that 189 number now, as it has been FOREVER since I have seen it. The rational part of me knows that is ridiculous as we must exercise to aid in weight loss, tone, and to keep the weight off. But, I have never been known as a very rational person I actually come from a family of brothers who compete in weight-lifting/strong-man. They are completely dedicated to lifting weights 3 days a week no matter what. My father was a pro-football player and at age 62 still works out 3 days a week. My mom is a tiny 5'2, 102lbs and runs 3 days a week(also age 62) Then there is me who can't stick one of the 30 or so exercise tapes that I've accumulated over the years into the VCR and get moving.

                    Sorry for the rant. The good news is that when I got up today I was down to 196

                      Way to go, Kimmykins!!! That's awesome you're down to 196!

                      I was worried about gaining weight when I started exercising too, luckily it didn't seem to be a problem for me. I think if you do mostly aerobics instead of toning and weight lifting you'll be fine I know what you mean a bout wanting to see 189.. I'm longing to see that number!! Unfortunately every time I get close to it, I screw up lol. Keep up the momentum, you're doing great!!

                        way to go kimmy! Now, go put that scale awayyyyyyy!!!!!! We can all pull them out Friday.. No sooner. k?!

                        I think you will gaina bit when you start exercising. It is because your body isn't used to it! Your muscles may retain water for a couple 3-4 days but then your weight will drop below what it was before! trust me! Exercise!!!! you will feel better too... If you are worried about gaining when exercise is beginning, don't weigh in everyday! just once a week...
                        OK, I am off to make dinner, some kind of chicken, I am not sure what yet, I was thinking parmesan would be good..m........it 7 I have to hurry~!

                          Thanks Mary and Rikki Found my tapes today. I have callanetics, Firm, and WATP. Tomorrow I will be home by myself most of the day. I am planning on getting moving!! I also WILL NOT step on the scale until Monday!!

                            yeay Kimmy! So far no exercise for me today, I am eating dinner(early- Yeay!) its 6:30, that is very very early for me, but that is my new intentions, bri will have to fend for himself I guess! He doesn't get off of work until 6 or so then he drives an hour and a half, so stinks for him today, I only cooked something for me(he wouldn't like it much anyway!~I am eating a cheesesteak with peppers, onions, mozzarella, a few pepperonis and a couple tablespoons pizza sauce! yummy!!!!

                            hope you all are fab! I stuck to my guns today, no weighing... Mary--- you aren't sneaking are you?!

                              Nope, lol! I drink a glass of water right after I wake up so that I'm not as tempted to weigh myself - because I know it will be higher from the water!

                              lately I've been doing mad cleaning around the house, like deep deep cleaning (it really really needs it).. it's good that i'm getting stuff done, but it leaves my feet too tired to exercise for a long time. I still walk my dog twice a day though (about a mile each), so I do get some exercise in. At least my eating's been under control since Sunday. I'm feeling much more confident!! And I haven't had any terrible cravings either.. (I mean, occasionally I think about how good something sounds, but I don't feel like I NEED to have it..)

                              So I'm doing good at this week's goal of getting myself back in control of things. Now once I add my exercise back in hopefully I'll start losing again .


                              Kimmykins; let us know how the exercising goes tomorrow! Remember to start slow - you don't want to overdo it your first time exercising or you'll be less likely to do it again. Just do what you think you can do and push yourself a little bit. And drink lots of water before and after.. and Have fun!!!

                              Okay.. back to the cleaning for me!!!

                                Tomorrow is the day Mary!!! Lets drink plenty of water today and hope for teh whooshie fairy to come visit tomorrow! I am also planning on measuring as well!!!
