Re: STAC New Year's Challenge, December 1-3

I've been MIA for a few days due to a nasty head and chest cold. I've stuck to plan re: food and water, although I didn't eat nearly enough on Tues. The exercise is a different story, however....... I'm planning on getting back in gear tomorrow.

Oh Mistress Cleo, bear w/me while I recuperate.....

Woo Woo guys! I am so glad you're checking in!

I haven't run away. I'm a drill sergeant for boot camp so I'm having to focus on that right at the moment. I'll be back in full force in 2 weeks.

In the mean time, my stilettos are being handed to Chris, who knows he can smack you upside the head with them if need be!

I'll be checking in daily, so if I'm not seeing you checking in, you are not going to be happy with the punishment.

We're on December 2! Where do you want to be on New Year's Eve?

                I’m done with Friday

                Stayed on plan.
                Drank about 4 litres water.
35 minutes brisk walk this morning. I planned on doing the Gym Ball Workout tonight, but it feels like I’m coming down with something, so I will be taking it easy this weekend. My exercise totals 153 minutes for the week.

                  Wed & Thu Check in

Wednesday I had lots of challenges and I did ok but not great:

                  Wednesday
Breaky: 2 egg's scrambled with 1 oz cheese, 1 thin slice of ham fried
Lunch: 2 cups lettuce with 6 or 7 grape tomatos, 1 cup diced roast chicken, 2 T ranch dressing
Business Dinner at Restaurant with VERY limited menu:
Salad with vinegarrette dressing - about 1 cup
then waited 40 minutes and they put a tiny cup of sorbet in front of me and I caved and eat it. about 2 T sorbet
15 minutes late a miniscule steak arrive on a mountain of mashed potatoes. I ate the 2 oz steak but did not touch a bit of potatoe. Ate the tiny slice of butternut squash with brown sugar though

Then Party to attend after dinner and I was still hungry. I confess I had several small meatballs, a couple of bite size quich, some brie in filo, cheese, several slices cold cuts, plus a couple of tiny spring rolls.

My plan to have steak and salad and be full for the party backfired.

                      Friday:

Did well, although I confess I only ate two meals. I wasn't feeling quite up to snuff last night, so I wound up skipping dinner. Back to normal today, however.

B: 3 scrambled eggs, 2 1oz slices of ham, decaf coffee with cream and Splenda
L: Various pieces of meat and a few pieces of melon from party at work. Simple salad with tomatoe and low carb dressing later in the day. Iced tea with Stevia.

Well over an hour of walking, and lots of water

Checking in tonight.... Im on plan and doing great.

Thurs & Fri I ate 3 meals and got my water in plus a walk each day. Today I had a bit of steak for breakfast with a few grilled onions. Mid afternoon I had a chicken caesar salad. Havent exercised and my water is down a quart. My appetite is not there but I am finding myself looking in the cupboards. Not sure what that is about but got thru the day cheatfree. I never did have dinner and its too late to eat this evening, almost 10 oclock. Ill grab a few slices of cheese and call it good.

Tomorrow I will spend the afternoon cooking and preparing ahead for the week.

I am also helping with Boot Camp and will get here as often as possible.

You are all doing great! New Years will be here before we know it!

Friday went great and most of today. I made it past the pastries as the debate tournament, had a proper breakfast and lunch. Evening party almost on plan. I dipped into the meatballs a few times and had a couple of bite size quiche. Fortunately that is the last of the holiday parties.

I'm proud to say I have been sugar free for days and days now. I'm not sure when I last had sugar without checking my journal. I'm pretty pleased about that.

Thats great Michelle! Im staying away from splenda and any other legal sweeteners as it makes sets me off if I have it regularly. I allow myself a cup or 2 of coffee on the weekends with a small amount and a bit of heavy cream (sometimes black even). Starving that sweet tooth is really the way to go for many of us.
