    I'm so in. I want to reach my goal in July so 50lbs in 5 months! Don't know just how doable that is. I lost 32ish in 2-3 months last time, but I know i'll slow down once I get around a normal weight. Last time I got down to 180, but I remember being stuck at 197 forever, then 194 forever, and it took me being really really sick with a 103 fever for it to move!
    I'll post my weight and inch results in here weekly and check up on everyone!

      My daughter wanted to go out for Chinese for her B-day last night so we went, I cheated again then came home and had some cake and ice cream just like I promised my self I wouldnt . So, what did I earn for all this cheating is what you are wondering right? I GAINED 3.4lbs .
      What have I learned that now I have to start all over. I almost had my two weeks in, I only had 3 days left. Now I have to go threw the hardest part again. I am so craving carbs right now. My exercise, drinking water, and to top it off I cheated 2 days in a row really sucks.
      To get to my challenge goal I need to lose 5.04 lbs a week. Things have to change and I don't want it to be my goal!

        I know how frustrating that can be! Just hang in there!! Have you tried taking L-glutamine to help with the cravings? I don't know if it really works for that, but Atkins recommends it if you are. I'm cheering for you in your corner!!

        For me, I've stayed the same weight. Nothing lost, nothing gained.

          Hey everyone!! Sorry its been a lil while since I've checked in. I've been keeping busy. I have great news though! I pulled out my handy dandy tape measure the other day and I've lost another 2 inches!! Woot Woot!! Eeny weeny bikini here i come!!
          Chrleeann, im in your corner!! Keep plugging along and when the "non atkins friendly" food comes along, just say no!! Think of it this way, are you willing to exchange those high carb foods for being uber hott this summer? No way Jose!

            I bet you could have like a beef/broccoli kind of thing at a chinese place, depending on what they put on it I guess. I'm actually very surprised at myself that I haven't cheated yet, how sad lol! I had a BBQ saturday and there were girlscout cookies and chips and hot dog buns and katchup and all kinds of things........ and I was good! I grilled my chicken and ate my salad and sat back with a big grin on my face while I was pleasantly full and everyone else was "stuffed", uncomfortable and go very sleepy after scarfing cookies and candy and 4 hotdogs. I felt pretty good about myself!

            My "offical" weigh/measuring isn't until thursday, but I just had to share!
            I had a huuuge craving last night, and I was home alone. Terrible time, but I beat it. I wandered around the house in circles, I smelled the cookies (hoping that would be enough... made it worse!), and I argued with my bad habits for 10 minutes "oh just this once" kind of stuff. But eventually I made me some leftovers of chicken and sauteed some squash and butter and ate, and even when I was very full, I was still craving cookies. So to ignore it, I turned on the tv and it was that Mystery Diagnosis show about an poor overweight guy with sleep apnea that almost killed him. Talk about inspiration to stay away from the cookies!
            So I was good and I beat the craving. Woke up this morning to another 1.5 lbs gone (I had also lost 1lb since getting up that morning and coming home from work. I know i'm an addict) So I was super excited!!! I keep thinking, if I had scarfed all those cookies 1. When I wasn't hungry 2. On induction, just how much would that have messed me up!?
            So far i'm down 7.5 lbs in the last 6 days, and 5inches! WEE! Not going to change any of my counter stuff until thursday though!

              Wow kibskix, you're doing great! Welcome!

              Chrleeann, hang in there. We had Mexican on Sunday and I cheated I had some chips. Argh. I had chicken nachos, which was huge pieces of chicken, onions, green bell peppers, and melted cheese, and some chips, and I was also eating salsa and chips in habit, before I realized what I was doing. This Sat. I have a meeting at lunch at a Chinese restaurant, so wish me luck.

              I am down to 264.5. So that's another 1.5 gone.

              Gawd, Springtime is here aside from the evening cold snaps. I am ready to get out and start hiking!

                L-glutamine nope not taking, but going to give it a try, I am going crazy. I have not made it threw one day cheat free, I will start clean tomorrow keeps coming across my lips, I have to stop it!!!! So far today I am doing ok lol but it's only 11am. Thanks for all the encouragement, I need it. I am scared to weigh myself I know with all the cheating I have been doing it's not going to be good. I just hope to be even when Sunday comes my official weigh in day. Ok, I am going to go drink some water and read some atkins books. I think I will take some pics with fat hanging all over the place and hang them in the kitchen so maybe I will stay out of there or at least be good while I am in there. Stephie I just have to stay outta the chinese rest. because not this last time, but the time before I thought I was good and the next day my test strips were totally white, so something I had was not legal . And Mexican the chips and salsa I can not say no to, if I asked them not to bring them to my table I am sure I would be stealing them off some one elses table . I think it's just best that I eat at home or go some where that I know a salad is going to make me happy. Good luck on Sat. at the Chinese. Good luck to everyone I will check in later, and hopefully tomorrow I can say I am on day 2 cheat free , that's my goal!

                  ok, I made it threw day ONE !!!! working on day two and it's going well. I also was doing some reading, atkins, and went to the store and got some vitiamins $45 worth , I took them, a whole meal of them ughhhhhh.
                  I weighed this morning I am all the way back up to 264 , but we will see what Sunday says, since it's the only day that I count.

                      I'm still here!! I don't know about the other members of the challenge though
                      I've been wanting to cheat so bad the past couple of days but i'm hangin in there...i just keep looking at the bikini's i have waiting for me! If i eat those fries or donuts...it's all over...gotta stay strong. I make low carb cheesecake, jicama, and have some rasberries every now and again. I see it like this: it's better to eat those things and have a few extra carbs one day, then to eat something that is definately not on the diet plan.

                            Sorry I've been AWOL....I had 2 exams today that I've been studying for the past 1.5 weeks. I try to make it on-line when I can, but mostly, I just study every minute that I can.

                            chrleeann, congrats on making it through Day 2, cheat free! It can be really tough!

                            Jicama is some sort of root veggie. I've never had it, but I've been told it's good.

                              Update!
                              Its day 8 (I think?!)
                              i've been at 217 for the last 2-3 days, I dont think i've been very good with my water, and I had 3 different sauces at buffalo wild wings a few days ago. Still, thats 8 lbs in 8 days, and i'm also down 9.5 inches so far, so i'm not complaining yet. Hope everyone else doing well too!

                                Good job, kibskix! 8 pounds is nothing to sneeze at! Congrats!!!

                                For me, I lost 1 more pound. I keep chipping away at the weight, slowly but surely!
