OK, I'll join you in this Easter Challenge! I have a mere 8 weeks to meet the following goals....

    1. I will drink 64 oz of water every day.
    2. I will log my foods daily in Journal Stats.
    3. I will TRY to weigh in every Friday at the doc's office. (depends on work schedule)
    4. I will encourage and support ciaobella, lost29, Sandi, LosingItNow, and anyone else who joins this challenge to the very best of my ability.
    5. I will lose 20 pounds.

Oh my gosh. Here we go.............

I know what you mean sd1136. I have been in a rut for a few weeks now. I just wanted to get over this weight lost range hurdle that every diet I have every been on could not get me over. Well last Friday I said enough is enough and I started induction over again and I am please to announce that it is looking like I can burst through the hurdle........stay with it and you shall achieve it!!!!

                Re: Easter challenge?

Hi lost29! Hi Sandi! Easter will be here before we know it. As soon as I committed to this I realized the cupboards don't hold what they ought and I'm scrambling to be ready in the morning - need portable food for work and of course there is a luncheon planned which I will have to avoid. I'll hide in my classroom and tell myself that tuna salad is delicious! I've a huge bottle of water ready to go. And my pedometer. I walk a LOT at work.

                Have a great night everyone!

                  HI Yankee
Cant you go to the luncheon, Would they have even a little bit that you can at least sample and socialize
I don't think its good to hide away from food, its always in our face, we have to deal with head on and all. I think if you hide away from social functions you will resent the diet.
Bring your lunch with you and enjoy being with your fellow workers. Just an idea anyway

It's funny how things change from one day to the next. TODAY I think I could go to any function and not blow off this WOE. Yesterday there was no way I could have pulled it off. Maybe it's because today is when this challenge really starts for me?
I seriously doubt that there will be a luncheon anyway. One of our students, a first grader, was killed in a hunting accident over the weekend. With yesterday being a snow day, today will be the first day back and I really think no one will be in the mood for food. I work with the 5th graders and the little one's brother is in one of the classes. Too sad.

                            Re: Easter challenge?

I would like to join the challenge also.

                            My goals:
                            * Be at 130lbs (That will be a 14 lb loss, not sure if this is doable, since I have only been losing about 1 lb a week since the first week. But isn't that what goals are for, to push ourselves?)
                            * Be able to fit my wedding band back on. (Hasn't fit since I was pregnant with my three year old twins)
                            * Be able to fit into my pre-preg pants
                            * 2.5 miles four days a week on the treadmill. I am currently doing 1.8 miles four days a week.
                            * A minimum of 64 oz of water a day. I am really, really bad at actuall drinking. I can go for an entire day and not realize I have had nothing to drink. I have been doing pretty good since starting the diet, but know I have missed the number a couple of the days.

Awful sad about the little first grader. Just awful. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
