Thanks Sandi. It was a busy day but everyone made time for the tears and hugs that were needed. It'll be an ongoing thing.

      Hi LosingItNow,

I'm with you on the water thing. It's a struggle to drink it all. Those twins must keep you very busy!

Thanks for the prayers. And you too ciaobella. I can't imagine the pain the family is in. All we can do is pray for them.

I'm an falling down on my end of this challenge. Today is a very bad day carb-wise. I'll try and pull myself together and hope I haven't gained five pounds....

            Re: Easter challenge?

            Hi everyone!
Ms. Blue welcome to the challenge
Yankee: Hope the rest of your day goes better! I felt that way yesterday. It wasn't the carbs, but the cheese. I had made mock pizza (found here) and at 3 pieces for Tuesdays dinner. I think the carb count was alright, but I know I ate the cheese (and I think too much at that). The first week I did not eat any cheese and I loss so much, the second I ate cheese and I don't think I loss more than a pound. I keep telling myself I am not going to eat any cheese (or cream) and each week since I have failled in that category.
BTW: Yes, the twins keep me very busy. They are at the age of "mom", me: "what?", them, "come here and I will tell you.". It seems everytime I try to sit for two seconds I get that. My husband says I should be a twig with all the running around I do with them.

I went 2.2 miles on the treadmill today (34 minutes)! I am working my way up. I have also been good with the water (two days in a row! It is a new record for me.)

Hope everyone else is doing good!

                  Re: Easter challenge?

How is everyone doing? Cheating isn't worth the misery so why do I do it?????
Yes, I had a miserably off day but am recovering. My dd has a swim meet this weekend which means volunteering to keep myself from being bored silly between her events. It keeps me from overeating. It also keeps me from following an Atkins diet. No refrigeration. No place to keep a purse, let alone a cooler. No bathroom breaks over many hours on deck so very little drinking of water. I won't gain but I won't lose either. It finishes up on Monday evening so Tuesday I'll be back in a routine.

Is it too late for me to hop on board with the Easter challenge? I would love to be down to 170 by Easter. It's 22 lbs but I think it is doable!!

                      Re: Easter challenge?

Welcome Caleymarie! You are doing great with your weight loss! 13lbs!

I weighed in yesterday (today actually makes four weeks on induction). I lost 1.8 lbs bringing my total to 9.8 lbs on Atkins and 13.8 lbs since 12/26. 1.8 makes me really happy! It is the most I have lost since the first week. Pretty much I did a better job staying away from the cheese (I have been having Mozzarella, but that is mostly it). Even when I did have cheese it was not much, but it seems as though it slows me down a lot.

I also did meet my drink requirements every day (last night was a close one, but I believe I did it).

ciao: Don't feel silly. The twins are not too stressful (most of the time). I have been blessed with healthy and intelligent little ones (A little too smart sometimes ). They just keep me really busy. I've done the college scene. It is stressful in its own!

                          Re: Easter challenge?

Hey Everyone, I was wondering if I could join your Easter challenge. I just started induction today. I did this about a year and a half ago so I guess I know what to do. Here are my goals by easter.....

                          1. 20lbs. ---I figured that in 8 weeks that sounds possible right?
                          2. By the time Easter rolls around I wanna be working out at least 4 days a week.
                          3. Drink my 64oz of water
                          4. Only get on that scale once a week to weigh in.

sound like good goals? I suppose well see. Good luck for everyone else on here.
Don't live to eat, eat to live

                            Re: Easter challenge?

Well, the swim meet is officially over and I gained weight while eating less than ever. Tomorrow morning I am going to try once and for all to get back into an Atkins routine and start losing again. This off weekend completely wiped out my loss in boot camp and while I'm hoping it's just water and will be gone quickly it's discouraging. I've thawed chicken in the frig and have good veggies in the freezer so I'm ready to go. If only I had unlimited RESOLVE!!!!!!!

Sounds like you all are doing really well! I had a great Atkins day and feel good for the effort. It was a busy day at work and I walked the halls for a couple of miles worth and then some which, for me, is good. Tomorrow will be as good!
