      I'm so glad I saw your name, I almost shortened it to Tan ( I thought that was so cute! Congratulations on being on your second day of clean induction... good for you!

      Way to go on losing 3.5 inches & 5 pounds!

      I took a look at your before and after pictures! I am so impressed! You look great in your size 8 jeans! You've had a great journey on Atkins and will be an inspiration for all of us. All of your exercise challenges have paid off!

        Kitty - I think you'll have to work your way up slowly. But, you'll be able to do it in a couple of weeks, and it will really help you to burn fat faster!

            Heidi, welcome! Congratulations on your loss already, and for wanting to do a clean induction!!

            qbu, glad you're here too. I'm going to be focusing on inch losses instead of pound losses for this challenge...I want those size 14's and who the heck cares how much I weigh in them!!

              Kittie--when I first started, I could only do 5 minutes. So, if 10 minutes is what you can do, great. Do that for 2 days. The third day, do 12 minutes. Push yourself to do that 12 minutes. The next week, do 12 minutes again for 2 days. The third day, do 14 minutes. That way you are pushing yourself past your max--and then maintaining before you push again.

              Before you know it, you'll be doing 20-30 minutes, NO PROBLEMO!

                Hey all Jts comming over and CHeckin in on all of you HE HE. You all know I am an exercise freak but, lately it's been hard LOTS and LOTS of medical Issues But, I am in I am here, are we just gunna Post everything here or What?? I am a nut Hopefully everyone will see lots of inches gone. Joy and I will be doing the same exercise Plan so we can Kick eachothers buts.

                  Yikes!! I know your excersise is way way above mine, You surely will kick my butt....More power to you girl, I am totally impressed with all your progress and activity level.

                  I also will only be excersising until July 4, the 5th is surgery for hysterectomy. Any ideas of what might help during my 4-6 week recovery time. There must be some mild cardio or resistance that i can do while taking it easy on abdominal area??? I am so used to core emphasis, that I cant think of much to do that doesnt target the ab's.

                  I will be sure to ask Dr too, but I am sure his ideas will be limited...

                  Help!

                    Hey Joy...I took up your suggestion and visited Linda's Low Carb site. I cooked the Bacon Cheeseburger Quiche tonight. It was really good! Do you know of any other good sites?

                      Sarah...YAY! I'm so glad you're here with us!

                      Bjs--maybe during that time you could focus on your arms--like I told Cher, just do the arm exercises without weights. Definitely ONLY do what your doctor allows you. At the very least you can come here and we'll support you through your recovery!!!

                      Liz--Check out the Food and Recipes forum on this site, there is some good stuff there. The Food and Cooking chat is a good read too if you have the time. Look for posts by Heidi3--she's very inspiring about her food and cooking. I've seen some really good recipes posted by MotherofGizmo too from the Food Network site. And I absolutely LOVE George Stella's site www.stellastyle.com but watch the recipes during induction. Some of the recipes are definitely for OWL.

                          AWWW thanks Everyone for the Nice Welcome. BJS be sure you are watching what you are eating during your 4-6 weeks cause your calories won't need to be as high when you are basically on Bed rest. I think if you can do the had weights Light for your uppr body and ars that will help you, you can do leg extensions sitting in a chair and you can do But crunches just wherever HE HE, I sure do hope your surgury goes really well.

                          Hey Liz you will most definately get to where I am I know it if ya work hard and just do what you need to do there is no doubt in my mind that you will be where I am at now. Maybe not running a marathon but, fit and healthy and looking darn awesome. you are sooo Beautiful you know that I look at your Pics and I think wow is she ever Gorgeous.

                          Yup Joy I am here I hope that my energy returns to me very soon cause it's not there right now I work through it but, it's just not up to par as of right now. I hope that the doc will adjust my meds or something cause I know they need to be looked after.

                          Well I am gunna get my stuff rolling here running today I am thinking for 1 hour but who knows with me. I am gunna Go on my word Doc and Type up a Program for myself to keep me accountable, with my lack of energy it's been hard to modivate myself to exercise. Darn Medical Problems.

                            Sarah - Wow we have the exercise guru here! I'm so excited! Sarah it's so great to see you here... YaY!

                            bjs - Make sure that you check with your dr's about the recovery period after the hysterectomy, get everything approved. Especially the first couple of weeks. We don't want you to have a relapse.

                            Liz - Yum - that Bacon cheeseburger Quiche sounds good. I need to try that. Yum. Isn't Sarah's picture great!

                            Joy - Another good food site -thanks. I've been reading some of Heidi's threads. She's had a lot of success and she loves food...lol. She's probably a great person to check in with.

                              Yup the GURU is here LOL, not so much lately but, I am working on it guys really I am Just gunna Jump on the TM. We'll see how I fee. Good news though I ahve an appointment with the ENDO YAY Thank God maybe I will feel better soon till then I will need a lot of Kicks in the BUT!!!

                                I got my workout done felt Not too bad it was sow going but, I ran 5.5 miles in 1 hour and then I walked for 10 minutes for 70 minutes today. I got it done thank goodness I really didn't want to but I did.
