    As for Sunday - maybe stop and think about the man or woman that baked/made the dessert you are afraid you'll have - you know, were they smoking when they made it? Perhaps some ashes fell into the mixture. Maybe they have a cold and sneezed or coughed in the batter or mix. Could have had a bandaid holding a big juicy scab come off while making that very dessert that is being served at your table? Goodness knows what fell into the mix or batter! Think about that if you have a weak moment.

    I don't think you'll need to think about the gross stuff because you are a strong woman and you'll be fine!

      This morning is a good morning. Even though I didn't weigh any less, I feel thinner. I can't explain it, other than there is a new lightness in my step that I really appreciate. My reflection in the mirror looks thinner too, but I can't find my measuring tape. I think all this exercise is really starting to pay off. Ran again yesterday, but it was a little harder. I'm kind of afraid if I push it, I will have a heart attack or something....I've never seen a woman as large as me jogging down the road....lol. One day at a time!

      Thank you. Its strange because I havent even had the desire to cheat...wait, let me take that back...haha, I havent had an OVERWHELMING, UNCONTROLABLE desire to cheat,lol.

      I have done a few things I am not proud of like eat too much of something with artificial sweetner (still within my daily limits though) or eaten even after I was full cause i love food, ugh but I have since broken those habits and am on a completely clean extended induction with NO sweetener till thanksgiving when i make my pumpkin pie (no crust). I also eat my meals on a saucer now not a huge dinner plate. I also am not afraid to stop eating even though I have only ate half my food and put the rest up for later.

      I am no longer a member of the clean plate club!!!

        I never thought of trying this psychological trick before! Did you just invent this, or is it an old fave on the ADBB which I've never come across?

        Paul McKenna on TV hypnotised a "hopeless" choc-addict and told her that chocolate was made of worms. Whe he woke her she screamed when he tried to make her eat chocolate. I was actually thinking of contacting him & paying Goodness knows what for the same treatment.

          I MADE A MISTAKE

          I counted 3 Tuesdays since my cheat when it is only 2.

          Correction: I am now cheat free for 14 days.

          This is day 15.

          Today I found that, despite being Cheat Free for 14 days, I gained 3lb since yesterday.

          I seriously wonder how long I can keep to this diet while no weight loss is showing!!!

            Please don't give up yet! It may be your PCOS, something you're eating that may be stalling you or some type of food allergy. Have you tried posting an average menu over in the "Review My Menu" section yet? The vets can sum up what you're eating and give good advice.

            I have PCOS too and I seem to lose a little slower. But, low-carb is one of the ways to fix these symptoms so I decided no matter how slow the scale moves that I'm going to keep doing this to get healthy...and if I lose weight, then it is just an added bonus. I have several posts over in our PCOS forum relating to some of this stuff.

            How is your exercising?

              Helena, girl you have come so far, those 14 days were hard earned days. We know your struggle and battle, look past those numbers, do you feel better, do you have more energy, are you happier with the control you are gaining every single day. Do you feel more clear headed, less achy, can you sleep more at night? We know the battle with cravings that our body is screaming for, and we know the battle of the mind, desiring foods we have said no to. Girl, hold on tightly to the good this program has given in you 14 days, the weight will come off, it will...it will move at a different pace than you want. Clean induction, drinking that water, and exercise will lead you to such a healthy place, full of energy and pride! Don't let the numbers throw you off, or soon those numbers will not only WIN but they will GO UP! Now they may stand still, but they will soon fall, slowly maybe, but fall. Control what you can, and let the numbers alone!

                  I don't know that I invented it - but I think I might be the first one to post something like it here. I don't know for sure lol Either way - it works.

                  And if it doesn't - here is something else you can try. If I have something so tempting that the gross out thoughts don't work - I can't just throw whatever it is that is tempting me in the trash - I am embarassed to admit this, but I have taken things out of the trash to eat that I've tossed in there earlier - they weren't dirty, still wrapped in what ever, but yes I've done this - I find that if something is getting to me so badly I have to trash it - I destroy it too. Yep, I take it out of its wrapping and I pour dish soap all over it and make it so there is no way I can eat it.

                  Oh wow - chocolate is worms for that lady! Its an option thats for sure!

                    GOOD MORNING CHEAT FREE LAND!!! Is it getting cold by any of you too? We're already supposed to get our first freezes tonight and tomorrow...for some reason it seems too early for this.

                    Welcome, Waterbabe_Helena...can we call you Helena? Two weeks under your belt...are you staying on induction, or moving up to Veggies rung? For some people, just moving up to the first rung helps them drop. But if not, here are some suggestions for why your weight may have gone up.

                    #1 TOM....Time Of Month. If its getting close to that time, we hold water.

                    #2 NOT ENOUGH WATER....are you drinking AT LEAST 8 full glasses of water a day. You would be surprised how that can affect your weight loss. When our bodies don't get enough, it holds on to whatever it can get.

                    #3 SUGAR FREE FRANKENFOODS.....anything sugar free, whether with Splenda, or without can make losing difficult to impossible.

                    #4 TOO MANY CALORIES..... even though Dr. Atkins says in his book that you can have as much as you want of legal foods at first, if you eat 3000 to 4000 calories, and your body only uses lets say 2000, and you're not exercising very much, that will make you gain. Using fitday.com, a free sight that lets you see exactly what you're eating, is very helpful. Its best if you can plan your meals to allow for 60% fat, 35% protein, and 5% carbs. This got the weight moving for me.

                    #5 FAT DIET... You put in your siggie that you are metabolically resistant. If your weight doesn't start moving soon, maybe you should try Dr. Atkins Fat Fast approach that kick starts things, CHAPTER 20, "Metabolic Resistance-- Causes And Solutions"

                    #6 ALLERGIES, CANDIDA, THYROID, HORMONES ETC. All dealt with in Chapter 20. I had to deal with Candida, eating only meat, veggies, and eggs for a month, avoiding all cheeses, pickles, olives, vinegar, and anything fermented, and this got me losing again.

                    Its all a matter of pin pointing. I wouldn't give up on the diet, because once you figure out what it is your body needs, there is nothing like the health benefits. Good luck!

                    LADY HAWKE....I loved your dessert skipping idea. Perfect thoughts for the Holloween season, I must say! And 4 more pounds CONGRATS!!

                          Yeah Waterbabe, YOU are on the list!!! It's great now you need to get buttons on your siggy...Go to KKat's post and click on where you can get the cheat free buttons, and scroll thru that thread, there are different ones with different colors!!! I found them very motivating..you place your cursor over the button you want, right click, hit copy, go open up your signature, edit signature, and put the cursor where you want it,right click, and click paste...and then hit SAVE SIGNATURE!!!
