    Yeah Kat!!!!!!!
I knew you could do it!!! I'm so proud of you for turning your nose up to all that garbage...not that peaches are garbage, but they are for you right now. I went through the same thing 3 days ago with the peaches, and ended up having a bite. It felt horrible having to come here and tell you all about it, but I've been true ever since, and everytime I'm tempted I think of you all! Here's a ...now get back to work!

Wow guys! I was only gone from here for a couple of hours and I had almost three pages of catch up to do lol! (I think that's awesome, by the way!)

Today is my official one month mark of not only being cheat free, but of starting this WOL. I can't even believe it! What's funny, is that my boarder brought home frosted brownies and I looked at them, considered them for a few seconds, and then rolled my eyes at them lol! Next think I know I'll be growling at junk food lmao. I wonder about me sometimes...

You all are doing so so SO wonderful! Temptation is so hard to resist, yet we're all doing so well! Even those who have slipped up should be commended for hopping right back on and putting it behind them. Way to go guys!

Oh yeah, she knows. I talk her ear off about it regularly. (Now if only she'd jump on the bandwagon...she's been complaining about her weight a lot recently!)

Hubby isn't on Atkins either, which makes it doubly hard. I'm the only one in the house that's trying to change my WoE and to see them bring in junk food sets me on edge!

Hey just dropping by to say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYONE!!!!!

Still cheat-free, I want this baaaaaaaad. I must say I have the same view this time around I had when I lost the weight before, but I am more receptive to old timers/successful people who did it and lost their weight by climbing the rungs and not staying stuck in "extended" induction for months without wanting to do the rungs.

Mari, I'm not trying to cause friction with you, but I don't agree with counting your calories, because DR. A said you shouldn't Correct me if I'm wrong, I really need to know, maybe I mis-read DANDR. Are there any suggestions from the Atkins Pro's/Old Timers here? I'm open to the reason for this. I never counted my calories before. Please let me know.

Hey Dolphin! Dr. A said not that calories don't count, but to not count calories. However, personal experience has shown me that too many calories, even if the carb count is perfect, means a stall or a slight gain. I try to keep my calories in the 1800-2000 range. When it pops up higher than 2200, I know I'm in for a not-so-nice surprise on the scale (which is hiding in my closet until August!). Also remember that exercise can increase your need for calories, especially in maintenance!

                      I hope that helps!

First of all, never worry about causing friction with me. The only friction I feel is when people get nasty on this board and do the "I'm so perfect, why aren't you" shuffle. I don't think we have any of those type here. As for the BMR, there are two reasons why I suggest this, and I got them from the Century Clubbers from 2 years back, most of who are "the biggest losers" in this forum. The first reason is there are some people who come on this board, and inevitably get frustrated and post the "can you help me, I'm not losing" thread. When asked to post a typical menu, it comes out that they were eating 3500-4000 calories. While some very large people with super duper metabolisms might be able to lose on that high of a caloric intake, its not the norm. The second reason is because there is another kind of person who posts the same help me post (I was one of them) and the reason for his/her lack of loss is that they are eating too few calories, which in turn sets off their bodies starvation mechanism, which holds on to every ounce of fat because it is programmed to do so. Thus for me, and many others, knowing your BMR is a safety net. It decreases as your weight decreases always insuring that you are eating what you need to. No you don't have to count calories, but yes it does help to a certain extent. If you would like more information on it, a good person to ask is always 2big4mysize. She is very good at explaining things in a scientific way. Hope this helps...and hey, you still don't have to believe me. Its not a law, and we're in a blessed free country! This is just what works for me, and what has helped a few others I know.

So everyone, it looks like we're winding down another cheat free day, folks! GOOD FOR YOU!!!

Tommy, I love your button! Very cute!! Where's mine?
