    Hey, you are so close to your goal (and pre-maintenance) it may be time for you to go up the rungs of OWL. It sure helps with learning how various foods affect you, learning portion control and still lose weight -- look especially at Christine.

    Why not give it a whirl? Rung One is only adding in five more grams of veggies (up to 25 grams of carbs per day).

      Well I reinducted 1 month and 4 days ago but before that I had been on OWL. I have low blood sugar and as I increased the carbs I start having issues with hypoglycemia attacks (ie. falling asleep after meals, passing out for hours...etc..) So I'm weary of OWL especially since I ended up stalling for a month! Anyway, I might consider it. Maybe just adding more veggies. I'd like to get to 150 first though...

            Whelp, I have been everywhere else on the board today, so I decided I'd better come back here and check in. I am having some serious motivation issues today. I think I know that if I do all my work today, I won't have anything to do tomorrow. And that makes for a very long day. So I've been entertaining myself with the board and planning a Halloween party today.

            Anyway, I'm still cheat-free. And DH is on his 3rd day. He had some problems the first day with low energy, but it's getting better for him. In one of Kat's posts she said her DH, Matt, was planning on going on Atkins and she's planning on going down to induction when he starts. I'm thinking that might not be a bad idea. That way I know for sure that what I'm cooking is induction friendly and won't harm DH in any way. Thanks for the idea Kat!

                      I hope you're having fun planning your party.

                      Matt hasn't started Induction yet...but I'm just waiting for him. I stopped the pork rinds and things seem to be moving a little better this week. I'm so excited!!

                        Well, as of yesterday bump me back to square one.

                        My grandma died on Tuesday morning. My parents and other family members had been taking care of her at her home, and she passed surrounded by family. My mom called me in the morning, and sounded right at the edge of breaking down so I drove up there, left work and everything.

                        Most of the extended family is up there (two hours drive away) and there was alot of people there, and alot of food. I just hugged everyone and jumped right in to help. I claimed the dishwasher and appointed myself dishwashing queen for the day. Sisters and I took turns cooking and helping with food too.

                        It was very stressful but also very good to be surrounded by family and inlaws, but most of my family are emotional eaters and overweight and not on atkins, and there was comfort food absolutely everywhere. Various potato and pasta creations clogged the fridge hardcore. I was good for the most part, the absolute worst was when I was washing the dishes and the coconut cream pie was next to me. I didn't have a piece but I did lick the serving spoon before it went into the sink. Also the next day there was a berry cobbler that didnt have added suger that I ate, with sugerfree ice cream, but there was a bit of breading on the cobbler and I didn't avoid it. >.<

                        But the main huge thing was portion sizes went out the window, and I ate until I was stuffed, then had some more an hour later. My mom and sisters are on atkins thank god so we had our own goodies, and mom had a ton of the atkins brand goodies in the cubbard and those got chewed on over the course of the week and we made some cream cheese stuff too.

                        It's not that we were eating all the time at all, but every meal was way overdone and desert was massive and seconds were had. I stepped on the scales today and was shocked that I was the same weight, until I remembered I hadn't had so much as a sip of water and all I had was three or four cans of diet sodas of various flavors each day, and this after I hadnt had diet soda for over two months. Can we say...dehydrated? >.< Drinking lots of water today.

                        I drove back home today to take care of my parents house and pets and get some things done early tomorrow, then I am driving up tomorrow afternoon to spend the night again, then help with the graveside service and memorial Saturday afternoon. Im not happy with myself at all, but part of me doesn't care. I reined myself in today and I'm probably/hopefully not going to gain but I sure as heck not going to lose anything this week.

                        Im going to do my best to be good at the memorial service. My god this week has sucked big time. >.<

                          Maeroe I am so sorry for your loss. It is wonderful that she was surrounded by her family and at home. I volunteer for Hospice and that is definately how I want to go. At home surrounded by my loved ones. I am glad that you are surrounded by family. It sounds like you have a loving close knit family. I will definately say a prayer for you and your family. It sounds like you are a great caretaker when your family is in need. Make sure you take some time to process your loss as well. As far as cheating most of us fall of the wagon from time to time. The important thing is that you are aware that it is bad for you and you hop right back on to those cheat free days.

                            Maerro - Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Losing a loved one is such a hard thing. Sometimes, when we are at a time like that, planning what you eat is the last on your list of priorities. Don't beat yourself up, just get back on track.

                            Day three for me. Keto-stix are pink and I am a little bummed about that. Having trouble getting all my water in, trying to kick the diet coke habit again.

                              Maerro, I too am sorry for this season in your life. I wonder how I will operate in a season like this. I take care of my Mom, so I know about the role reversals in the parental relationship zone!

                                Maerow- I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Grandmother. You have a lot on your mind right now and I am sure it is difficult, when your ready you'll be back on track in no time!
