Re: New Me for 2007 New Years Challenge!

Jess, I was just going to reply once again to this thread, but you bet me too it!

    Way to go on your three pound weight loss - that is fantastic!!! and 41 pounds in total my god girl, thats phenomenal!! Im so proud of you!!! {{{hugs}}}

I dread walking too! What is it with that? I'm much more comfortable riding a bike, or even using the dreaded cross trainer at gym, than having to walk.

I've even been known to recite our national anthem, whilst walking - much to my girls disgust *giggles* but hey, whatever gets you through right?!

Soon we will come to the stage, where we want to do all this exercise, not just to loose the excess weight, but because we want to push our bodies into achieving more and more. When I was fit in my younger years, exercise was an addiction and I just wanted to keep pushing myself to see where my stopping point was you know?

I have feeling, that between us excercise might become an addiction once again I say - bring it on!

Again Jess - Way to go!!!

Rikki - *humming a little here* Im up to nearly 100 ounces today, just over 3 litres for me *hums some more!*

Re: New Me for 2007 New Years Challenge!

Jess ~ way to go! You are amazing... you will be at 50 lost in no time! That happened fast, didn't it! You are just plowing thru this...

Veronica ~ your post was not boring at all! It was very insightful, true, and from the soul. I agree with Jess, i too want all of the things you listed! I think i will take some time to make a list of my own to print out too. It is so important to have these reminders in place for ourselves. I believe that when we put it in writing, it gives it power. It gives US power. The power to achieve all of those things! Did you start a journal yet in Journal Chats?

When i was thinking of the 1998 is the year of Jenna & the balance in body, mind and spirit... it came from starting to ask those questions like... "Why are we here?" and "What is life all about?" and such. I really believe that we are "here" to become the best that we can be. To become as balanced as we can & to learn to love ourselves. That is the hardest thing to do sometimes. But once we can truly learn to love ourselves & respect ourselves, then we can heal the world. That sounds pretty cheesy, but i think it is true.

It is hard to keep these things in mind... this focus to become the best we can be, at times, especially when life events take control, and the day to day crap takes control, and we are too busy to make time for ourselves. I think one of the things i need to work on is to make certain that i have that time each day to sit and contemplate in silence. To reflect & center myself... to get in touch with my core being and to keep in touch with that center throughout the day.

Look at all of you throwing your goals out here! Love it!

I've suddenly decided that I need to take this New Year challenge up a notch...make weekly goals. I have my list of goals doodled out in crayon, i'd share what it says but photobucket is being a big snot and not letting my computer upload pics. So, for the sake of frustrating my tired mind already, I'll just say that this next week my goal is to exercise 30 minutes/5 days a week while balancing a bottle of water on my nose.

        Enjoy the weekend!

Re: New Me for 2007 New Years Challenge!

All right, I am in. No excuses November!

I pledge to exercise at least 5 days a week. I pledge to drink between 75-100 oz. of water a day. I pledge to give up franken foods and diet sodas. I will be clean.

And my goal is to make at least one mini-goal by January 1st. It would be nice if I could make 2 of them though. I am currently 5 pounds from my next minigoal, so I'll say 20 pounds by January 1st. Maybe it's optomistic, but I'll try.

          Good luck everyone.

OK guys, I'm in! I really want to reach Goal by Jan 1st, and make 2007 all about maintaining my new healthy lifestyle instead of striving for it. (That is if you all don't mind me joining you).

Well it's Sunday morning and I am up with what ever crawls around in the predawn dark...it's frozen out there, whatever it is...You know I am in the deeep south and it's in the mid 30's this morning...I love cold weather!
LisaM, I love this jacket, I got it on super sale, the women's dept, size L, not XL, and not 1x,2x, or 3x...I saw it last week, and I didn't want to pay full price for something I would not be in long..then yesterday at the super sale..it was marked down to 21.00 and the large is very comfortable and I will be able to completely button it soon.

                                Things are good...
