  • Cleaning it all up for Christmas

This is a thread for those of us who have gotten sloppy (or maybe have fallen off the wagon) and need to "clean it all up". I want to be fully in control of my eating and exercise for Christmas.

So, join me here, check in with whether you are eating on plan (whether it's induction or OWL or premaintenance, or even maintenance) and whether or not you are exercising. This will be a place for all of us to come and get support and give support.

Re: Cleaning it all up for Christmas

I just got back into "clean" pre-maintenance, due in large part to the current boot camp. I really need to get back on the exercise horse. My school and work schedule have been killer. With 3 more weeks left until a month break I want to get back to basics.

Re: Cleaning it all up for Christmas

Yay, Sam and Jas. We know what to do, we've just gotta do it. One of the steps I've made to "clean it up" is to start journaling in my stats journal and at Fitday. I originally thought I'd go back to induction...but I just don't want to do it. I love my veggies. So, I'm on rung 1 for now eating veggies, meat, eggs, cheese. No nuts, no coffee, no wraps, etc.

What are you guys planning to do to clean it all up?

Re: Cleaning it all up for Christmas

Hi Joy, i am in also, i am almost drinking zilch water, and in the last week because of my stressed back i have not exercised more so just being lazy. Also my "planning" has falling off course, i have not fallen off plan but instead of having things ready to go etc, i am rushing around grabbing bits and pieces and i can tell that it is leaving me edgy and unfulfilled.

So i am in, time to clean up the act so i can be "less" in 2007
May you all be losers, Sher

I just need to be more diligent with say EVERYTHING! I've been lazy with the exercise, which we know is non-negotiable. I need to keep a closer count on my carbs. Some days just get so busy, I eat right, but I'm not tracking very well all the time. Keeping track is a must!

Re: Cleaning it all up for Christmas

I am sooooo in Joy! Been 100% right-on since Monday. I hadn't weighed in a long time and I weighed on Monday...144.5. Still under goal, but I was 143 for several weeks and even 141 for about a second there! Therefore I'm not upping my sig weight because I will be back at 143 in no time, right?

Sher, welcome aboard. You're going to work on planning ahead and drinking the water.
Jas, okay, it's butt kickin time. Going to keep track and exercise.
Silly, great to see you in this one. I'm glad to see you're still under goal. I'm sure if you keep it all clean, you'll find a "normal" place for your goal.

Not planning is definitely getting me. I haven't been grocery shopping as regularly so I end up having to run around to get food.

Yikes! I weighed today, amazed at what 2 days of clean eating can do...142.5. Still not changing my siggy though!

Yeah, thanks Joy! I believe it to be the completely stressed out diet! Nonetheless, it was a pleasure to see!

                            Well, I binged today......and here's what I did:

I ate 3 ounces of cheese (at least--maybe more) for a snack (I'd already had 2 at lunch) and then I ate some honeydew melon and papaya.

Then I came home and ate more. I'm eating above 2000 calories a day.

*sigh* Here I am getting everyone to "clean it all up" and I'm blowing it on day 3 ... D'OH! This is EXACTLY the reason I need this thread.
