Just checking in to say hi and great to see new people and how well everyone is doing. I am trying to hold off about weighing in and wait until Thursday....that is hard. As I said work has blocked so many sites now....any message boards...shopping..... heck I even tried to log on to a site the other day and it said it was blocked due the fact it dealt with "Health"....go figure and we are a school....The teachers are all ticked and arguing with the system......they say access to some site is needed due to the job itself..(partly true) and that also what is done on lunch and breaks is their own bussiness.....of course the system is argueing "do what you want on lunch and breaks...just not on our system"..... I can see both sides and I am NOT HAPPY with this little show off leadership....but its a job and they make the rules.

Oh, well, will check back later.

      Have a nice one.

Well, I just got to work, and today was my first day at the gym.

I started on the eliptilcal, and could only go 8 min. (with a few pauses here and there.) After that I went to something I could do, the treadmill. I went 10 min. at 3mph, then paused, then 15 min at 3mph.

After that I went to the ab machine, did 2 reps of 20 on 70lb.

Then 2 reps of 20 on the shoulder press, 50lb.

Last, leg press, 2 reps of 20, 80 lbs.

It may not seem like much to some, but it was a start. I am to go again Wednesday. Wish me luck.

OMG, somebody get out the whips and guns. I just ate about two handfuls of a nut/raisin mix. The nuts prolly not so bad, but the raisins, ugh what was I thinking!! **whisper** They were sooooo good though!!!

Then I better run too. I completely lost it today, majorly. Stressed to the hilt, had to have chocolate. Thankfully chocolate helps boost that wonderful calming seratonin. My son was a HELLION today at school. He got angry and tried to stab the person over special education with a pencil. All because he saw others swapping Christmas Presents and he didn't get one. He didn't understand that sometimes they wait till the last day before break. I was so stressed out. It's the first time they've not been able to handle him at school, so I had to go in.

My aunt, who's the bigger buggaboo where my son is concerned, went in instead because it would have a bigger effect if she did. He's tried to stab me before with pencils, throw things, ect, so I'm usually more prepared. Thankfully, he's a BAD aim, and I doubt the pencil was sharp. If it wasn't for his diagnosis, he'd have been expelled ages ago.

Hi Lisa - For those days when the child(ren) is not minding (my husband and son I'm talking about) and its TOM - I keep a stash of sugar free, no carb chocolate that I've broken into bite size bits in the freezer. I have one of them (takes a while to melt because it is frozen) and usually that is enough. Counts as 1 sweetener, satisfies the chocolate need, and doesn't kill your WOE process.... Just a thought. I can relate to the stress of child problems! Hang in there - thin and tough is more intimidating!!!!

Sher-I think I read in the book that nuts are allowed on extended induction. Like 2oz of nuts. I am not sure but I did think I read that in DANDR. It is too early still for me!

Lisa-Sorry that you had such a crappy day. I hope that today is better.

Thank you Kacey. That's a wonderful idea. And since it's in the freezer, I'll more than likely forget about it. Outta sight, outta mind.

Plus I bought myself the oval looms today so I can work on a baby blanket for a friend's, soon to be, grandchild. Something to keep my mind off of all this misbehaving my son's doing. Her daughter's due date is Christmas day, but they are really hoping the baby will be born sooner. Her daughter is so uncomfortable. Baby was sitting on the siatic nerve. Boy,do I feel for her as I have a pinched siatic nerve, not due to a baby thankfully, but it's behaving itself so far.

                              Maggie,

                              Nope.
My aunt invited me out to lunch, she ordered because she was in a hurry and would get to the resturant before me or any of the other two that was meeting her there as well.
She ordered a very nice lunch, grilled chicken, salad, and a baked sweet potato, which was a great balanced rather low carb lunch. My aunt does have good choice in foods.

What really spoiled the day is the fact that as we were headed back to our cars, the school called her first saying he was now slamming doors and barricading himself in a room. She talked to him and he said he wanted his privacy. Oh geesh. I tell you, I've had it with that kid. I am so stressed out right now that I can tell my blood pressure is up, because I'm a bit dizzy. If it were legal these days to flogg children, or to put them in thumb screws in the dungeon, I think I'd be doing it by now. Nothing else has worked. Unfortunely, you can no longer do those things, so I guess it's 40 lashes with a wet speghetti noodle and writng 50 times "I WILL NOT SLAM DOORS AT SCHOOL" and of course, no TV. I often wonder what the H*** I did so bad in my life to be cursed with a child that's a major PROBLEM child. lol. Geesh. Remember that movie back in the 1980's, Problem Child. That's my son. Or a minature Dennis The Menis.

Hi everyone, just thought I'd check in. I am sore in my thighs from my workout yesterday.

These people at my work need to stop bringing in goodies. They are tempting. The only thing I've caved on are the nuts/raisins mix. I caved, I had a huge handful both yesterday and today!

I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself, I could have caved like I did over Thanksgiving when I ate like 1/2 of an apple pie in 2 days in addition to the brownies, pumpkin pie and cookies. Nuts/raisins aren't that bad. (Listen to me trying to make it sound like a good thing, lmao!)

Hope everyone else is doing well. Although I'm sore from yesterday's workout, I'll be back there in the AM. Talk to you all later!

                                Weigh in Thursday!
