    Hang in there, Sher. Once the Whooshy Fairy visits you after TOM, you'll be ditching those pounds. Good to know I counted right on the Calender. I actually highlighted the days on my planner....lol....OCD.


    Good job on the grades for MaggieBe's DD! Yipee! After spending 30 hours tutoring English Speakers of Other Languages (my minor in school), I'm excited to hear how your DD is doing so well and have a better understanding of how ESOL students learn. I'm sure you are a wonderful mom! Look at those grades! Nice! Speaking of water....oh, I think I'm going to float away today! lol.


    Keep going, Christy! You can do it! I predict there's going to be alot of whooshies come January 4th between you and Sher. Hey, no fair!!! lol...


    I got in my 30 minutes of exercise today. I did 20 minutes of Turbo Jam, and then 10 minutes of walking. I think my bladder is working on over drive today with all this water I'm pushing through. lol..


    Okay, who's next??? I've got my pom pom's dusted off and cueing the Rocky music!

      Maggie..Thanks for the encouraging words! They really help alot...for some reason any type of diet I do it seems like once I get around 180 I stall for some period of time. Last round of Atkins I stalled at 180 for over 3 months. Im not gonna beat myself up over it because I expected it to happen but it can be discouraging. It just seems like I bounce back and forth until I push past the stall. I have gone a little off plan..not really bad though and I know that didnt help much either. Im ready for the holidays to be over though so I can have more time to devote to getting in the exercise I need. There is still alot of time left before the end of the challenge and I have no doubt that I will be at or close to goal by then..so its all good!

      Everybody keep up the good work! I cant wait to be at my goal and I know I will get there!

        I missed my weigh-in this morning ... the batteries in my scales were zip ... but it's all good now and I'll weigh in tomorrow morning.
        I tried the green bean "fries" today - its a good thing I didn't make the full batch, I think I would have eaten them all !

            Hi - Sorry I missed the weigh in yesterday. I was travelling and I'm just back last night. I'm on 184.5 now (down from 187). It was more than that - but when I travel I usually don't eat enough - or eat too much salty foods, so I think I put back on 1 pound. Oh well, hopefully that disappears in the next two weeks!

            I'm going to visit my daughter in China on Jan 13. I am determined to be at 178 by then. --- counting on fingers---- Ok that means, I have to lose the 1 pound in salt/water. Then lost 3 more pounds by Jan 4 weigh in. ---- more counting on fingers ---- Then lose 2 more by Jan 13? Maybe that is a little unrealistic.... ? Doable?

            I haven't seen her in 6 months - and she has never seen me this thin in her whole life. She has always been totally supportive of me every time I tried to diet (unlike some who said, "AGAIN? What makes you think it will work this time?"). So this is her success as much as mine!

            On another note, my dh has been following this WOE for a while now and has lost 28.5 pounds. Then he was STUCK for 6 weeks. Not an ounce. He kept trying everything, walking more, etc. So the other night he decided to eat an entire basket of bread and an entire pizza. And YUP! You guessed it.... He has now moved off his plateau and is at 29.5 pounds. Now he's convinced he needs to be eating MORE of that kind of food.... If I ate an entire pizza I'd gain like 6 pounds over night! MEN!

            Great to see how well everyone is doing!!!!

            P.S. I'm trying to get all my sons medical records translated to English so we can get him into Shriners Hospital in the US when we come over there in February. Everyone thinking GOOD POSITIVE thoughts for us to get him in there will be MUCH appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

                Speaking of the list...

                I was hoping someone would pipe up and claim the list because I can't remember who was willing to keep track of it and I don't want to step on anyones toes of taking it over, because, let's face it, I'm no prima ballerina.LOL.

                I'm more than willing/happy to drag the list around and post the weight changes that people wish to share twice a month because it's such an awesome list to have everyone's names on it. However, I'll be in school full-time again starting Jan 8th and would love to keep the list from being left behind.

                  Dashly, I'm not for certain on where to find the info on BC...but there's usually a sticky on the front of the ADBB board giving in formation about it. If I stumble across it I'll PM the info to you and post it here.

                      Ok my 2 week induction is over, I'm at 209 from 214, 5 pounds in 2 weeks. Not great but with how much holiday indulging I would've done by now, I'll take it =).

                        I just got out of bootcamp myself and highly recommend it. Some good support and learning going on in there.

                        The way I found out about it, is because there was a sticky note listed at one of the forums. Also, here's a link to the Boot Camp Frequent Questions and Answers. There's info there too about this last boot camp, so I'm guessing there will also be a post it note "sticky" there as well when the next bootcamp comes around.

                            Dashly, I don't think there are any set rules...but we all basically decided report our weigh in twice a month and post often to whine or celebrate excercising, eating stuff, and enjoy the journey to taking care of us and see how much change will happen between now and Memorial Day. (I think. lol).

                            I think it's all about encouraging each other to reach out goals.


                            Christy...I love love love that you updated it! Totally works for me. You're going to do awesome!!!

                              I missed the weigh in this morning too - trying to get prepared for the landlord to be here to fix the leaky faucet ...and realized it late this afternoon ... no way am I weighing in after as much water as I've had today.
