EastTexasDaisy... I live in Three Rivers (where the Atascosa, Frio, and Nueces Rivers meet), we are 1/2 way between San Antonio and Corpus Christi... SOUTH, SOUTH, SOUTH! This is really the first cold spell we have had where we needed jackets! I brought the pets inside... 4 cats and a dog, pray for me... LOL!

I like this location, we can take a day trip to Mexico and go shopping, or head to the beach for the day. It does get pretty dang HOT, but the wind is ALWAYS blowing, so I guess that's OK.

I have been through 3 Rivers, it's just beautifull. I am in deep East Texas, Wills Point, a really small town. Close to Canton, home of first Monday, and about an hour outside of dallas and 1.5 hours from Tyler so it's a pretty nice location.

Woot woot, becky sue! You do look wonderful!!!

                    East Texas is gorgeous, too!

It's so easy to be motivated when everyone is so devoted! Whether we had gains or not this week doesn't matter.

We're all in this together (minus matching thongs, thank goodness. That's teamwork gone too far and against the principles of physics)!

Thanks for the compliment about the picture. You are doing great! Love the pics of the differnces in you as well, and love the dh pants :yes .
Anyway about this deflated balloon stuff..... It will get better in time. I'm sure we see our own flaws with microscopic viewpoints while everyone else just gets to see how great you truly are looking! I have a half circle scar on my forehead that drives me nuts, been married for almost 10 years and he never noticed it until my mom was telling the story of how I got it last fall Anyway, I feel so much better being thinner and I do look better in clothes now, so more reasons to buy them :nod :nod As a matter of fact went shopping today. I'll have to take a new pic and post it. Anyway, everyone is doing great and staying motivated right before Christmas. Gotta admit Thanksgiving wasn't too bad, I cooked and stayed here, but next week gotta face the temptation of the in laws....

Well everyone here's wishing the whoosh fairy visits everyone soon.... Twas the night before a whosh when all through the house not a creature was stirring not dare even the no carb mouse....... forget those visions of sugar plums, dreaming of turkey and ham and cornish hens......

Checkin' in! :icondance Well, last week I was trying to clean up my menu and get back more to basics...well, I hate to say it but I felt like I was starving all of the time + I actually gained a few pounds....so I went back to my more diverse menu and whala! the weight is going back down again and I don't feel so hungry or have cravings now. I seem to be seeing a pattern that my metabolism seems to respond to higher calories...it seems my *whooshes* tend to happen when I am eating really good. So, all in all, it turns out that I am still at the weight I was last week. I went up 3 and back down 3. :confused Oh well, keep on truckin' along, eh? I guess I was doing good enough...I do not consume "frankenfoods" and my primary sweetener is Stevia w/inulin and a glycemic level of 0...I've eliminated caffeine :sadblinky ...I examine ingredients with an obsession...no maltitol, no sorbitol, no lactitol, etc...the only thing i have trouble with is incorporating more veggies into my day. 3 cups total!! :yikes I don't like salads and veggies that much. (Although I have discovered that I LOVE butternut squash) So, I do need to work on that, eh? I do feel great though...and I really do enjoy eating this way...I actually crave red meat and chicken instead of junk **weird**...so I plan on making the long haul. :joy The best part of this change was watching my almost 2 year old son turn away his pancake breakfast only to mow on my mock french toast like there is no tomorrow! :yes I am happy to see him enjoy healthier eating! ha

weigh to go, Kathy S. sounds like you are listening to you body and doing what you need to do to get to your goal.
Keep doing what is working for you.
I know what you mean about our little ones notice what we do. My grandson used to refuse to eat his hamburger bun, he wanted a fork to eat the meat off of it like me.
