So my WAY TOO EXPENSIVE package finally arrived on Wednesday the 22nd. (I wish I'd read Emma's post before I ordered!)

First the bad news: I spent Thursday and Friday getting back into Ketosis after totally falling off the wagon over a long weekend at Disney. I was 174 before that Weekend and was 179 after - I sure did learn a lesson though!

The good news: I started Phase 1 on Friday night, and did it again on Saturday night. Sunday night I moved on to Phase 2 "Burn it Up". I also did the Slim & Limber each day. My belly muscles ACHE when I laugh and my butt has pains in muscles I forgot I even had - but as of this morning I have dropped from 179 down to 172 pounds!

I took my starting measurements on Friday and hid them in a drawer so my husband wouldn't see them, but I'll post them when I come in to work tomorrow.

I am so THRILLED with the results so far!

hey wendy! yep you will get GREAT results. i did fit into my wedding dress and i had "guns" to boot. in fact, some of us are gonna do it AGAIN around the first of october. it is a love hate relationship with the squat **** for sure. so glad you are doing it and you will love it...and yes, it is way expensive but i figure i would use it off and on as needed.....a good investment and i was in too big a hurry to worry about ebay or anything like that! keep us posted on your results.

Squat ****! That is so funny!

I did Rev it up again on Monday and Tuesday nights, so I am staying on track. It seems like I'm getting better at it every day (only lost my balance twice last night!) but I'm holding off on advancing to burn it up until I've got at least a solid week under my belt. I'm scared to put the 2nd DVD in to peek at how many minutes it is!

For the record, my stats before starting SI6:
          Weight: 179
Chest: 34-3/4" (just under my boobs, not sure if this is the right spot to measure or not)
          Waist: 37"
          Hips: 44-3/4"
          R Mid-thigh: 22-1/2"
          L Mid-thigh: 22-1/2"
          R Upper Arm: 12-1/2"
          L Upper Arm: 12-1/2"

I haven't weighed in since Monday (am waiting for Friday) but I did measure again last night and I've already seen losses!

Thank you Misplaced Southerner for your support. I saw the wedding photos you posted and you looked so BEAUTIFUL - that is a huge inspiritation.

aaawwwww wendy. thanks for the compliment. if you don't mind, let me share a few tips with you. while you are doing slim in 6 don't worry about the scale. i don;t think i lost much at all for 6 weeks but i lost tons of inches. don't measure that often, i think i did it every two weeks. you will lose the most inches in the last 2 weeks. also, don't hurry to move up the dvd's til you are ready and comfortable . it is counterproductive.

my slim in 6 buddy caryl (loose shoes) had great results too, we suffered thru, i mean went thru it together....gonna give it another go here in a while. please keep us posted. i guarantee you will love what happens to your shape!

Hi, Wendy! Slim in Six is a great exercise program. It was my first real exercise program and I got terrific results. Some other things you might need to know--switch sides from what the perpetually perky pixie of pain does. She doesn't come too close on doing both sides even. Also, like Misplaced Southerner said, don't rush going up to the next level--you'll be on it for a long time. You normally can feel when you're doing everything well enough to go up. I lost weight the first couple of weeks then GAINED 3 pounds that didn't budge for about 3 weeks. When the weight did start coming off, though, it came off in a rush. Don't get discouraged--keep with it!

I'm glad you're doing it and wish you all the best!

Thank you - I'm really grateful for the insider tips from you guys!

I thought I noticed some uneven counting but figured I was so focused on trying to keep up that I must have lost count.

I did the rev it up again last night, and then just for "fun" I went back & did the just first part of stage 1 (can't remember the title) to get a little more aerobic or cardio or whatever you call it in.

After all that I flopped on the couch & took a peek at the last stage - 59+ minutes and a bunch of what looks like kick boxing! It's daunting but I figure if I've come this far I'll be able to push through that too when the time comes! (And I'm taking the advice you both gave me - I'm holding off on burn it up until next Friday.)

I'm gonna stay off the scale until Sept. 4th (right before the no-weigh challenge), especially since TOM just arrived. I want NO BAD NEWS right now that might threaten my motivation!

                Thanks again for your encouragement,

                Wendy

I did Rev it Up again last night. Afterwards I realized that Thursday was supposed to be my day off! Did you all take a day off per week? I remember reading in the paperwork that this program doesn't "bulk" your muscles up - makes them long and lean instead- because you aren't taking every other day off and it's during the days off that your muscles really grow. I do NOT want to look like a body builder, so that really appealed to me. Do you think there is any harm to doing it 7 days a week?

Great new photos! Your arms do look fabulous, you know. I hope you can see that!

I remember many MANY years ago I got one of those Suzanne Sommers Torso Tracks & used it like a fanatic - and it worked great for both my abs & my arms, but my arms ended up getting too muscular looking - not feminine enough. So I'm glad to see the proof that SI6 doesn't do that!

I managed to get through Rev it Up again yesterday and today (Saturday & Sunday). For some reason I'm really struggling with parts of it now that seemed easier earlier in the week - could be because of this nasty cold/sinus thing I've got going on! That and I have a dog, kid & husband distracting me CONSTANTLY. I'm going to try to shift the schedule around so that I can do it before I get her up & ready for school in the morning, while my husbands still asleep too.

Question: Do you think splitting it in to two halves would reduce the positive effects? I'm thinking of doing the aerobic type stuff in the morning (like the lunges, kicking, etc.) which is I think about about 25 or so minutes on this phase, and then after work/dinner doing the resistance bands, abs & stretch/yoga parts.

Wendy, somebody started up a current Slim in 6 challenge--check it out, it's here in the same place. Several people are starting it, so you'll have people to talk to regularly!

If you have to split up SI6, then do it, but it probably won't be as effective--I've heard that once you get your heart rate up, you're burning fat better. But, doing something is better than doing nothing--so it just depends on what you CAN do.

Also, I went thru spells where it seemed really hard--if you keep pushing, you reach a "breakthrough" and it gets easier again. Feeling bad doesn't help, I'm sure. I hope you're feeling better.
