Yayyyyyyyyy Caryl....So happy you met your goal for the challenge! And down 60 lbs overall...WOW.

I'm past the midway point now with another 16.5 lbs to go. I imagine its just going to get tougher and slower, but thats okay...I'm not in that big of a rush.

Again, big congrats to you girl!!!

      Greetings, Fellow Losers

What an awesome surprise to come here and see so many successes! Nicole, Kathy, and Caryl - I couldn't be happier. Well done.

Michelle - you are soooo close. I think you will do it.

And to those who may not make it - I sincerely hope that you don't get bummed. I know, easier said than done. But all of you have put forth such a great effort, and that is a huge success in itself. Be strong, be proud, and continue to kick butt!

I have been weighing in on Wednesdays for the challenge, but I am going to wait till the end of the challenge to weigh and measure.

Keep it up, everyone... we're in the final days!

Woo hoo! Look at more losers and goalies!!!

I'm slightly up, by a pound, but I'm sure it's just a moment of being "fluffy" and weird schedule.

Mitzi--you're looking great in your new picture!

When I finally decided that I was going to be happy with the weight I had lost and didn't expect to reach goal, the weight turned loose!

Thanks, Kathy--you'll be at goal in no time, you runner, you!

Like Mitzi said, I hope no one's disappointed in not making goal. Be proud of all you have achieved!

Just checking in this morning from BEAUTIFUL Breckenridge where it is sunny and cooooool!!!! Sure beats the Texas heat! Went from 100 degrees to the 60's! Diana is suffering a little bit from high altitude sickness and I had to take it a little easy the first couple of days on my workouts, but did get 45 and 13.1 miles in on the bike in this morning.

Now, here is a really stupid question. Is it possible to weigh less at higher altitudes??? They had a doctors (weighted) scale in the exercise room. It weighed 9 lbs less than the weight on our digital scale at the house and that was with 4-5 lbs of clothes on. I don't think the other people would have wanted to see me strip down to weigh! So, it really means about a 13-14 lb difference. I checked to make sure that it was balanced, and it appeared to be. I always knew that our scale weighed a little heavier, but not that much heavier. Well, I guess if it is going to be any direction, I would prefer it to weigh heavier than to find out that I really weighed more than it was registering.

DON--people actually tend to weigh MORE at higher altitudes. When you go from a low altitude to a higher one, often you retain water and have some swelling.

BUT, I had the same thing happen to me when I went to Big Sky (which is about 5000 feet higher than where I live). The resort fitness center's scale said I weighed 5 pounds less than I actually did. I think the fitness center's scale was just wrong. I weighed myself when I got home and at my local gym and that number matched my home scale.
