      • If it isn't evident yet, I am sooooo happy for you!!!!

Alas, my new friends and busy schedule have made this WOE more difficult than in the past few months. But, I am happy to say that exercise and eating veggies is a permanent change even if the weightloss is slow (I'm trying to psyche myself up, LOL). Bree, you are my inspiration for the week! I haven't look at the boards yet, but I hope you announce it to everyone (if not, trust me I will draw their attention to it).

          • Well, except for a few leftover Easter chocolates on Saturday evening yes. And they are well behind me now. I went to the store for my mom and the last thing I told her before I left was to have the candy hidden before I returned. She did. Considering I ate dinner soon after this, I didn't have cravings for more. It was my own lack of will power that got me.
Anyhow, I weighed last week on Thursday and was a 205 (not in the morning either). I'm gonna weigh in tomorrow afternoon at my mom's again since her scale is more reliable than the scale at home.
All in all, I am definitely back on track and have a couple of short term goals to shoot for. They aren't really weight loss goals as much as goals to not cheat in the hopes I can get to onederland soon. First, my sister is coming home from Hawaii tomorrow and I haven't seen her in over a year. She's seen pics so she knows what to expect, sort of. The second is that my brother is coming home from Iraq (and again he hasn't seen me in over a year). We are going to Six Flags and a Mavs game in two Tuesdays so I would love to know I was in Onderland by then. Also, I have a baby shower to go to this Sunday for a cousin who (once again) I haven't seen in over a year. It's her brother who was probably the most in awe to see me. He's one of those guys who knows just what to say to make you feel good about yourself; unlike the kind who look you up and down but don't have the nerve to say anything. Besides, it would probably come out something like "gee, you look alot less fat." and then everyone would feel awkward. And the final thing is that I asked a guy out. We haven't decided when we can get together but that's pretty exciting for me. Even if it leads no where I am proud of myself for just asking instead of wondering if he would have said yes. The one thing I have learned in recent years is that the worst feeling in the world is regret. Often times for me it is regret for things left undone.
Ok, so I've babbled on long enough. I'm am so proud of you for losing yet another pound. If I had a genie I would wish a visit from the whoosh fairy for you.

            • Hey, how's everyone doing? I'm gonna weigh in this afternoon so I don't have anything new to post --- yet.

ok, so I only saw a half pound change since last Thursday, but I haven't seen 204.5 since probably the eigth grade, so I am happy. I must confess though that it's hard for me to eat right now, I mean mentally hard to do. It's like my head is saying that if I skip a meal then that's fewer calories and I can get to Onderland sooner. But, I KNOW that really I will just find myself in starvation mode and it is much healthier to take is slow and just let ketosis do its thing. But, I might run a little extra after spin class this evening, I've got a little aggression/paranoia to work off; that's healthier than not eating.

              • Mere150, the hubby and I are going back to our favorite vacation destination - the Florida Keys in early July.

I've got myself a goal to lose all my weight hopefully before then & feel I might just make it to goal if I behave.

                Great topic - fun subject!!

Hope you make your goal to for Mexico!

                :hug Jane

                • Jane, I am so sorry I haven't seen your post yet. I guess I clicked on the box to not receive notification of new posts. I'm glad you're joining us.

As for me lately, I am officially at 200 and just waiting to get into Onederland, my one-way ticket is in hand. I'm going to a graduation party tonight for a friend and I'm going to wear my sister's size 12 capris (New York & Co. size 12). I was a little worried I wouldn't make goal for vacation and while I am sure I will not be weighing in at 170 I am confident that as long as I keep up with this WOE and exercise that I will be able to pack a few of her things.

                  How is everyone else doing?

                  • Hey Mere!
Sorry I haven't been here in awhile. Between graduation and all of the crap associated with it, I've been spending most of my time in my journal. I gained a couple of pounds while on a carb binge (graduation celebration) and now have 6 weeks and 1 day before I fly out to Florida. I'm at 198.5 today and want to be at 188 by vacation day. I really want to be at 180 but that's a bit ambitious! LOL. I see by your signature that you are at ONEDERLAND! How wonderful for you! And congrats on getting in to your sister's capris. Don't you LOVE NY&C? I buy a lot of my clothes from there. I think their cuts are true to size. I too am in a NY&C 12, some 10s when I want to push it. How tall are you?

Good luck! When is your vacation?

                    • :no Things have been crazy for me lately and I haven't seen 199 since that one day. I'm not up by much (only 202 at the most). Plus my scale isn't completely reliable, so I'm not gonna stress about it. My sister let me raid her closet as her birthday present to me. I got a few pairs of pants and a skirt. She wears her shirts tighter and lower than I prefer so I have to buy shirts to match everything, but that's just fine with me. I went to the store last night and should be back on track tomorrow. Today's out of the question though. I'm really glad you're one of those people who knows that this WOE is sometimes not the most convenient. Some people are like carb ****'s. :yikes

I'm sure you'll make your goal long before vacation.

                      • Hey All,

I was going through the Challenges Forum, and came across this one, and it seems perfect for me...

we (my husband and 2 kids) are going to Jordan this summer for 3 weeks, but not until August the 19th. I would like to be down to at least 230 by then. *fingers crossed* if not more.....

I'm having a hard time getting on the band wagon properly...

                        thanks for this thread!
