I thought the same thing as Shari when I read "semi annual". 6 months. I think I actually gulped reading it!!!

Chelsey~ I'm so glad to have you with us! I might have broken my scale. I got mad and threw it in the back of the closet. LOL shall we have your boyfriend damage or kidnap yours? LOL

Even though my scale sure hasn't done much since I started I am definately thinner. A few weeks ago I had alot of "muffin top" in the jeans I wore today. Today very little and they were baggy in the butt after a few hours.

Baggy pants rule and scales drool. (he he I sound like I'm 10!)

So what is the concensus? Should we weigh on T day or the day after?

I WANT IN!!!! I'd love to put my scale away and see what happens. This is a GREAT challenge. I enjoyed the Weigh no Weigh challenge so I think I can make it to Thanksgiving without a peek at the numbers.

That's alright--we have a rockin' graphic!! I love Garfield--that was reason enough for me to join--lol.

Hi Friends ...I have posted several threads of the love hate relationship I have w/ the scale and its POWER I have given it over me....well, today my DH took out the battery because of the detrimental effects and havoc it plays into my daily life effecting my moods and relationships depending on the reading for that day .....might as well jump in and enjoy my fellow atkineers and be encouraged and supportive...hugs

Welcome Griff's Goddess. Honestly once you actually ditch the scale you start to notice the changes physically in your body. They are there even if the scale doesn't show loss.

I put my scale away on the 1st of the month and don't look to stepping on it until the end of the month, but I think I'd like to know on Thanksgiving.

And I like the little garfield icon. He's cute!

Count me in also! I'm on again off again w/ TOM-like activity, since having the baby...so I have no idea when my numbers will truly be accurate anyway. Plus, I've always been a bit of a scale slave, and I really need to get out of that.

This really isnt as hard as I thought it would be, I've only thought about weighing myself a couple times so I found something else to do to keep my mind off of it and that seemed to work, I havent even had my bf hide the scale lol I think I'm just afraid of what it will say so I'm staying away from it so I can 'hopefully' be surprised for Thanksgiving..have we decided when we're weighing yet? Morning of or after? I think morning of would be a better idea that way we'll know so we'll have more of a reason not to cheat after we see how far we came.
