Good morning challenge buddies! Congratulations to those of you who posted your pics and meauserements on time. I know it was really hard for me to build up the courage to show my belly (grrrr) , but those were the rules guys and gals. And like somebody else in here said, we are rule followers.

It's been fun to see the pics and see how motivated everyone is.

O.k. yall! So are we ready? Or are we ready?

Do you have any dumbells? Even if not you can use cans or a milk bottle with a handle filled with water or something to do dumbell rows to tone up your back. This is a good link with some other back exercises listed at the bottom

Hi Starr. This is something that I recently did and it's working so far. I found all my really fat pictures and put em up as screen savers on my computer. That helps me to constantly remind me that I don't want to get there again. Never again. You can do that or even print them, make a collage and post it on the refrigerator door or your mirror or anywhere you can see them often.

It's just one suggestion I'm sure you'll get today. Good luck to you sweety. Stay strong.

Starr...weights will do a lot to help tone the muscles in your back. I have a bowflex which works my back like crazy but you can do the same with dumbbells.

I do the same, but I tape it to my fridge with a note saying "do you really want to eat that?" I've also found that taping a picture of something really repulsive to the carby stuff in the house. My latest favorite is the that little monster thing from the nail infection commercials, the one that pulls up the computer generated toe nail and hops inside it. It's really horrifying, and nothing kills my cravings faster.

Back fat is my nemisis, rolls on the stomach are there, I can see them, and deal with them, and soemthing with some tricky clothings tricks I can successfully hide them, but back fat is sneaky, and doesn't hide as easily. I'm lifting weights in different positions to get rid of it. One way that really works the back is lifting straight up with arms out in a flying position.
The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an eggs-and-ham breakfast:
the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'.

We have all done this before and I know it's hard, but please don't beat yourself up over it! We all get side tracked! Focus and get back on track. You have made a decision to be more healthy, and you're doing that, even if you have had a bump in the road. I am soooo glad that you (and the rest of us) have the support here. Be strong and get back on track....it's in the past now.

Hey everyone! Sorry for being a bum. My starting weight as of Day 1 of the challenge is 196.6.
I will post up pictures/measurements tonight or tomorrow, I'm sorry for the delay, my job has been went from dead the last to weeks to completely hectic and I havent been home much this week!
I would rather struggle to do this, than struggle with the fact that I can't...
