Me too, ugh! I usually retain water for about a week and a half total, right before and then during. And since I started feeling bloated around Sat. it won't be gone until Tues. or Wed., which means I get hit with it on two weigh-in days. I'm drinking lots of water though, so I hope a little will go away because I'm feeling like the Stay Puff Marshmallow man right about now.

So so sorry for posting late! I was down 3 on Monday, to 176.5. I am way excited! It's a little ironic that I joined this challenge that ends on Easter, because my dh and I just decided to go on a cruise and we sail away Easter Sunday! I am sooooooo excited, but now more than ever determined to drop some major weight!!! I have been so busy planning and picking excursions, so that's why i am late posting here. If anyone has any cruise tips for me, I'd love to hear them. We will be taking our kids, 11 and 13. They are even more excited than we are!!! Anyway, sorry again for posting late!

No weight loss yet this week, but after losing 5 last week, you figured that it had to level off. Today is my wifes birthday and we are going out tonight for a special dinner celebration that I know will include a bottle of red wine. Therefore, I have already figured the increases and am adjusting my breakfast and lunch accordingly!

Hope everybody has a great day today!

        Ciao!

Content over my measly .2 loss today. Wishing my 1oz of mixed nuts were a raspberry turnover. I normally don't crave sweets. Must be the weather or something. I am hungry and cravey for no good reason.

Hi everyone! Congrats to all you loosers!!!
Liz I'm so proud of you! You're down like 7lbs overall! That's fantastic!
Jane, your mention of easter made me think of pretty easter dresses! I think I'll buy me one this year! I haven't done that in forever! That will be fun to look forward to... something I can wear to church and then out dancing with my hubby to those English Country Dances on Sunday nights.... suddenly I have a new goal... thanks Jane!

                  Hi everyone!!

I just had the most AMAZING experience and wanted to share it here.

We are going to a Super Bowl party on Sunday at DH's boss's house. Last night, I went in the closet to try on some jeans (ugh!!) and the ones I have are all either too big or skin tight. The last pair I bought back in the summer was a size 18W and they look like clown pants now. Anyway, I hopped into Kohl's on my way home and found some dark wash Gloria Vanderbilt's that I liked. I took a 16W and a regular 18 in the dressing room--TOO BIG. Went back and got a regular 16 and THEY FIT. No camel toe, no muffin top, just fit comfortably. I was speechless!! Made my week!!

Madeline, if this is your first cruise you are in for a great time. We love cruising and have gone on 5 so far. What ship are you going on? There is a website called cruisecritic.com where you can locate your ship and date and actually meet and "talk" with others that will be on the cruise with you which is so much fun. It is the section there called "roll calls". There is also a ton of info about every ship, every port and every shore excursion. Was very informative and helpful to me when we first started going. Hoping to do another one this December.

Bambina, Easter dresses are just nice spring dresses that you wear for the first time to church on Easter Sunday. When I was a kid we always got new dresses and shoes for Easter. Of course, last year we had SNOW here on Easter which was amazing. Don't see that too often in Texas.

Hope everyone is having a great week!!

                  Pam

Thanks Pamela!!!! I will check cruisecritic out right now! This is our second cruise, but the first one was 10 years ago to the Bahamas for like 3 days. This is 7 nights to Eastern Caribbean on Freedom of the Seas. Thanks again for the website! Can't wait to try it out!

Madeline, yes you must check out cruisecritic.com I have been using it for a few years now, and there is a wealth of information on it. We cruise a couple of times a year, and love it. On the website you will find lots of info on excursions, ships, ports, and alot more. You can even hook up with people on board, after communicating with them on the site, lots of Meet & Greets are planned. Have fun, I'm hooked on both this Atkins board, as well as cruisecritics. I have no time for more than that

I am envying everyone seeing great results this week. You all are awesome. I am sort of fixed in place (story of my life). A little down, a little up. I have added in 9 stories of stairs a day (is that 9 flights, or 18 flights? It's two sets of stairs between each floor, so I am not sure).

break: 2 cups coffee w/ heavy cream & splenda
