Thank-I won't, I feel like I have many more options on Atkins this time. Last time while I lost weight, I really never left induction phase. This time, I am moving up rungs, etc.. but making it much more of a real way of eating.
I have really been towing the line the last few days and I have lost the 2 pounds I gained on the yeast-free diet and another one. Still no where close to my low weight, but I will get there. I stuck to very high fat, very low carb for four days and it took a lot of bloat away and got rid of cravings. Yesterday was day 11. I plan to keep my protein lower, fat higher and reduce portions of veggies and spread them out over the day--and, of course, eat nothing after 7 p.m. I'm going to try not to eat pumpkin for another week to see if that was a problem. I was eating a lot of canned pumpkin with butter for a month or so--every day. Everybody says no one ever got fat off veggies, but I was gaining eating a lot of salad veggies and less than a cup of pumpkin a day.
Sunny!

Mornin' everyone here in the states! Evenin' to those of you over "there" lol You would be SO proud of me! I was surrounded with pizza, I even cut them and boxed them hot out of the oven and only once did I feel like going and getting me a slice. I did have trouble drinking water knowing that the coke machine was there but I pushed through and didn't have any soda, not even diet. I had some hot wings as soon as I got there at lunchtime so I would't get hungry for pizza but I still wanted something so a few hours later, I made me a caprese salad with fresh basil leaves, spinach, fresh mozarella cheese (3 oz), 3 slices of tomato, olive oil, and salt and pepper. It was FANTASTIC! Then for dinner we made some pizza for the chicken place and I had grilled chicken and steamed broccoli and cauliflower! That's too much description but I am just so happy. I want to make it until the end of February cheat free for sure! So it is day four of February for me cheat free!
Congratulations on all you who did well! I am proud of you. Even you Alexa for showing restraint and not having that "What the ****, I should just eat now" attitude. That one is so hard to overcome...especially after the guilt of a cheat.

Congratulations! I am very proud of you. If you look back at what you ate--no one but a veteran Atkinseer would believe you are on a 'diet'! I am positively drooling at what YOU had to eat! Sounds better than pizza.
One of the days I am gonna have to try a caprese salad--as soon as I find out where to get fresh mozzarella here in Small Towne, Virginia. I have to go to Charlottesville on Wednesday and I might be able to find it there. I grow my own basil (my favorite scent! Love, love it!) and tomatoes. When I first heard of this salad, I thought it was new to the USA, but last night, looking through my early 1970's Betty Crocker cookbook, there was mention of it. I've had that cookbook since the early 70's.
I love this "diet"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We are gonna do this thing! Promise!
I have been making yummy healthy stuff since yesterday. After reading an article about MUFA's, I bought avacados (don't like), black olives (love them), capers (first time I ever tasted them), anchovies (never tasted them but once, eons ago), and lots of other new things, and I have been experimenting for two days. So far I love everything. I have made black olive tapenade, and a marinated antipasto dish with button mushrooms, black olives, pimentos, fresh garlic with Olive oil in the Italian salad dressing. I made a sesame and ginger dressing, which was good on a salad with the unliked avocado on it--it hid the taste! I made awesome guacamole from the unliked avocadoes! Enough hot peppers and lime juice will kill the taste of something not tasty every time!
I haven't made anything to use the anchovies, yet, but I love Green Goddess salad dressing, which uses both anchovies & capers. I'd also like to make my own salad dressings and my favorite Caesar uses anchovies.

Mmm. I love all the variety in everything you got! I need to venture out more. I am wanting to make the quiche so I will have a quick breakfast to grab and go...especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I have to be in class at 8 a.m.
See everyone tomorrow!
