Thanks Porcelain, You just helped me find my replacement for gum!
If you (or anyone) needs help finding the cinnamon, let me know. I buy a lot of essential oils and stuff. I make my own soap (I haven't for a while, busy with school) and I make lotion and creams and stuff. I use natural oils and essential oils and I have bought all over the country, so let me know.

Hopejoy, I am paranoid at EVERYTHING. I ate out with my husband and he ate a good bit of my food because I was forcing it into his mouth saying "Does this taste sweet to you?" I wanted some good hot bullion the other day and I looked at the cubes and saw sugar and cursed a bit myself. I had to wait for a whole pack of chicken to boil to get it.

Terry, what kind of salt do you have? I need to go buy some. I am jonesing for some salt. Especially now since I made that mayo, it needs some salt. If I guy sea salt, there is not sugar in that, right?

Went into the supermarket tonight and stared a bit too long at the carb smart ice cream. Yeah, if Id have gotten that, I would have not onlyhad some, but not known when to stop. Thats what I get for going into the grocery store hungry. I was craving everything!

Ill admit, I even pulled it out and held it for a sec before tossing angrily back on the shelf. (angry at my sugar addiction).

Well as soon as I came home and had some pork tenderloin instead with a nice salad, I craved sweet no longer.

I have to remember never go shopping on an empty stomach.

As for the salt, I use kosher.

Good for you, MC, for kicking the icecream to the curb. Get PO'd at your addiction and use it to help yourself overcome it. It's exactly one of the things I do.

          Hopejoy--it's a real wakeup call, isn't it?

Porcelain, look for the cheap stuff, just not iodized. Or, Sea salt, kosher salt. Just look at the ingredients. You don't have to go buy expensive salt.

            Good morning, everyone,
I find it amazing that sugar/sweeteners can be in the most unexpected places. In salt?

                Hello quekjian,
I'm happy to see you checking in and doing so well. I too, ended up not liking my decaf coffee without my sweetner over a month ago. I quit drinking it an switched to decaf herbal teas. A much better choice.

Thanks Sherri. I'll give this another shot. WHy not LOL!

Liz, thanks for sharing that Mayo recepie. I really never use it unless I make chicken salad.

Well, the only place I used Splenda was on my cucumbers with lemon juice. I started eating those just plain. They're not too bad actually. I didn't buy any more Diet Rite sodas either. Oh, and since I'm not a coffee fan (just have a latte w/Divincci syrup once in a while), I don't miss that one either. Now the salt..........

Hmm, gotta go check on that one.

                      Happy Thursday everyone.

                          Mayonaise from Jimbos kitchen
                          3 egg yolks
3/4 cups oil... add very very slowly while yolks are on full blend in either a blender or the food processor.... just a little bit at a time....
                          1tsp lemon juice
                          Salt and Pepper to taste.

I'm re-posting the recipe... I just want to make sure everyone knows that the Tablespoon of lemon juice was an error and should have been a teaspoon... just so ya all know!!!!! Thanks Porcelain for trying it out for us! I can't wait to try it now!

Porcelain: Wow! that's a long time for some bullion... I just looked on my bottle of chicken broth from Trader Joes... Cane Juice... ha! like we can't figure out that that's sugar? oooooohhhHHHHHhhhhoooooo sounds healthy!

I bought Sea Salt at the health food store (Jimbos) and it just has Sea Salt and magnesium oxide listed in the ingredients... so far so good.
