    Hellooooo, Halloweenies!
    Did what's become the usual morning routine: To the gym for circuit training, then hop on the back of my DH's motorcycle and out to breakfast (eggs 'n bacon). Have to pay more attention to my water consumption ... I'm only "committed" to drinking 72 oz. but am trying for more; we all need to keep flushed out, right?

    Don't know whether I'm looking forward to Saturday's weigh in, or dreading it! I think I'd be more discouraged by a stall than if I gained a pound ... what a wuss !

        HALLOWEENIES! TGIF and all that good stuff!

        Same old/same old on the homefront; tomorrow is Weigh-in Day for those of us doing the "Weigh? No Weigh!" Challenge. My personal opinion: Scales are EVIL!

        Let's all be good today and drink our water, take our vits, and get up and move ... have a great one, everyone!

          I am sooooo sick!
          I thought it was allergies, but it has gotten so bad.
          I haven't weighed myself since the 17th, so I dunno if anything has changed.
          I didn't drink as much water as I should have today, especially because I'm sick, but I can't breathe through my nose so I've been sleeping most of the day. I didn't exercise this morning but I did yesterday morning. I just feel so lousy.

              Poor Tink ... hope you feel better soon. Don't get dehydrated, now. And how 'bout some nice, hot chicken broth later?

                Hey everyone!

                Just checking in. So far I have not cheated, I've drank all my water, and even exercised EVERY day. I jumped on the scale this morning to see I'm down to 208 lbs! That's 4 lbs I've lost this week. Only 9 lbs until I hit my halloween goal!!
                Hoping to be @ 180 lbs
                By our 1 year anniversary =)

                  Hello you amazing people! I'm Liss, and I'm new to this board, but I was hoping I could still join your challange?!?!

                  If it's not too late my goals are to:

                  * Keep an accurate food journal
                  * Post daily
                  * Contiue to drink mega amounts of water
                  * Be down to a minimum of 290 pounds (that's 17 pounds needed to lose as of today)
                  * Be as active as I can possilbly be (with a bad knee)


                  Now I'm fairly sure I'll still be too big to fit into a costume, but I will post now pictures and Halloween pictures (me with my kids). On November 1st .

                  I can't wait to get to know you all more!

                    Hi, Liss, and welcome! The most helpful hint I can give you is to check in with this board as often as possible ... so much information and support here; without it, don't think I could stick with the program.

                    Sounds like mentally and emotionally you're in a good place right now and I applaud you for the taking charge of your health ... bravo!

                    And ... Atkins can be FUN! Losing weight and feeling better is a big thrill ... better than cupcakes, for sure!

                        Hi, Bunny and assorted fellow Halloweenies!

                        Yesterday: Spent the morning on the back of my husband's bike, and part of the afternoon going to a memorial service for one of my neighbors. He was only 66 when he died; he refused to have his physicals and by the time they discovered he had advanced prostate cancer, it was too late ... he died 6 months later. And he was such a nice guy. Very sad. Gentlemen ... get your PSA tests done; ladies ... don't let the men you love go without it! End of sermon.

                        Today: A walk in the park; grocery shopping; errand running; laundry. Hamburgers (sans bun and catsup, natch) for lunch; shrimp for dinner. And that's about all I got!

                        What say you, Bunny? Whatcha been up to?

                          Thanks for the welcome Norah! I'm still doing well. I was drinking so much water yesterday that my husband thought there was something wrong with me, hehe. I really don't think I drank any more than I did durning the week, but because he's working durning the week days he really couldn't see that yesterday wasn't anything too new.

                          I'm doing really well on my food intake I think. I will go to the store tonight and buy the full fat products that where suggested. What do ya'll use for salad dressing. I'm so use to my Fat Free Balsamic Vineger...I don't know what to think, lol.

                          I'll start my food journal tomorrow.....and have a place to swim picked out soon too!

                              Sigh.. I haven't been doing that great this week. My water intake is still a lot lower than it should be, and I haven't been able to get as much exercise in as I wanted to. It's kind of hard with a baby at home, plus it's been cold and rainy around here so it's hard to get out. We spent most of the afternoon walking around the mall today, so I guess that's better than nothing. My big stumble has been having Asian food a couple times this week. I'm not having rice of course, but I'm sure there are carbs in the sauces of some of the things we had. I haven't been feeling all that well this week, I think I've been fighting off a cold, and I tend to get in a "screw this diet, I want to eat what I want!" kind of mood when I'm sick. Excuses, excuses! I guess I just have to dust myself off, concentrate on the goals I want to achieve and keep at it... it's a brand new week!

                                On the bright side, Bunny ... mall walking counts! Yeah, I think those Asian sauces are full of cornstarch and sugar and who knows what else. I know when you're not feeling well, comfort food beckons. Hey, there's always chicken soup (without the noodles)! Anyway ... tomorrow is another day! Hope it's a good one for you
