    HAPPY HALLOWEEN/HAPPY HARVEST FEST to all fellow Challengers!

    So how did everyone do with their goals? My results are a mixed bag ... I lost weight, but seven pounds instead of the 10 I was hoping for .... well, it's that darn high metabolic resistance! Still, seven pounds is seven pounds, so I can't whine too much !

    I've walked an hour on a treadmill, five days a week, plus one walk in the park on Sundays (Saturday is my slug day ). Not great on the water consumption, though ... so I've joined November's Water Challenge to rectify that.

    All in all, I'm not unhappy with my progress. You?

    Oh ... the costume! It's the WHOOSY FAIRY! I tried uploading a larger version but it wouldn't take on my signature ... anyhoo, I created an album on my profile page if you wanna check it out. Although, at my age, the little pictures are more flattering!

    Looking forward to hearing from everyone who signed up ... as I said yesterday, the grinning animated Jack o'Lantern gif shown below is your "trophy" for completing this Challenge, if you wish to copy 'n paste it. Thanks to everyone who participated, especially BunnyD, who started the whole thing ... !

      Happy Halloween Everyone!

      I am with you Norah! A mixed bag of tricks here. I have lost 6 pounds in the past 2 weeks. I cant complain about that! My weight is still up 1 pound higher than it was October 1st but at least I am back on the plan and working it hard! I have lost 15 pounds in 3 months.
      I suppose the best thing this challenge has shown me is that I am going to have to be more realistic with my goals. The weight is going to come off slow until I can boost my muscle mass and increase my metabolism.
      As for a picture...we had a costume meltdown this morning. My daughters costume malfunctioned ( tore in the but)and she ended up wearing mine to school. I was going to be a rennasance woman. I had the cape and the dress and ....its gone.I will try to put something together by the end of the day.

        Congrats on the 15 lbs., honey ... good job! You're doing the program and your body is adjusting at its own pace ... nothing wrong with that!

        It was nice of you to share your costume ... I'm so territorial about mine ... ha! It sounds great ... hope you can give us a pic later when DD gets home .

          Good Morning My friends! So I've been MIA for a few days, but thankfully not due to any ouches, lol. I've been cleaning and cooking like a mad woman =)

          So I stayed off the scale for 8 days! I'm very proud of myself for that. While I stepped on the evil thing this morning and I was so nervous because I'm retaining water =( But it read 296.4! So though I didn't make it down a total of 17 pounds in one month to 290 I'm still proud of me. My total weight loss is at 27.6 pounds and of that loss 17.6 pounds of it is due to Atkins and all you amazing people.

          Last night was a tough night for me. Chocolat candy bars every where, nerds (mmmm), and chocolate fudge brownies! It was the smell of the brownies that made me go a bit crazy, but I just went to bed the second I felt like I might lose that battle. So yeah!

          Norah, I love your pictures! Too cute. Thank you so much for being who you are. Your leadership and advice and friendship made all the differance to alot of us.

          I won't be joining any new challenges for November because I'm having my surgery next Thursday and I don't want to sign up for anything that I may not really be able to do, but I'll be back in December. Of course I'll blog and check in all threw November though.

          I look forward to seeing all your Halloween pictures, and I'll post mine (though I don't have a costume) either tonight or tomorrow =).

              Good morning all.I too have been away the last couple of weeks. I've lost 8 1/2 lbs of the 12 lbs that I wanted to lose. I'm still happy about that,considering that the last couple of weeks, my exercise regime has been astray. Water intake was not always up to par, and my size 16 pants are just about fitting. So all in all a partial success! Now I have to gear up to my New Years Challenge, which I'm going ahead full force! Congrats to all of you who made your goals!

                  Hey Norah, you spelled my username wrong, it's ckiwis not chiwis. Thanks. Wow, you're fast! Thank you so much. I lost 8 lbs! Oh, darn! My computer is virus-free and trojan-free, too.
                  • Consume daily vitamins (religiously did it),
                  • drink 96 oz water (maybe more, up to 120 oz),
                  • walk on treadmill for 30 minutes 5 days/wk (walked 20 minutes 3 days/wk),
                  • exercise 3-4Xs/wk (exercised twice a week),
                  • lose 10 lbs (get under 200 by Oct 31st) lost 8 lbs,
                  • be active for 1 hr everyday (I was active more than an hour),
                  • NO CHEATING. (I did cheat some up to last week, ay-yi yi!)

                      I hope everyone had a terrific day and evening and fun with all the little kiddies if yah had any come to your door. We don't, as we live in an apt. So it's nice not having that chocolate lying around here tempting me lol.

                      It seems from what I've read from todays posts so far, that most everyone is coming close to the challenges they set out. That's AWESOME!!

                      My goals are -
                      • Do a min. of 72 flights for my climbing challenge (Did More Than That!)
                      • Lose a min. of 10 pounds (I lost 9lbs as of the 30th)
                      • Figure out what I am going to dress up as for this pic on Oct.31st! (I did and I took pictures of me wearing it at 2am! LOL)
                      All in all I think I did pretty good, and may have even made that 1lb today, but Aunt Flow arrived so I'm avoiding the scale for now. I did take pictures and will make an album later to put the pictures into, as I know they won't fit in my signature.

                          Congrats everyone!

                          How did I do?

                          My goals:

                          - keep exercising 6 x a week - stay engaged in it - did it
                          - stay in the challenges - did it
                          - keep drinking 72-100 oz of water - did it
                          - stay cheat free (even with candy out and birthdays coming) - had some cheats
                          - get to Onederland aka 199 lbs. - nope treaded water
                          - rewards will be something related to new, healthy activities - not yet

                          Got into the New Year Challenge.

                              Okay...I did pretty good.
                              I lost 18 lbs, my goal was 15.
                              I took my vitamins every day.
                              I drank 90-110 ounces a day...as best as I could.
                              Exercised when I could. Not as often as I had wanted but I tried.
                              But I still don't fit into that dress.
                              All in all I think I did okay!

                                WOW, Tink ... you lost 3 lbs. over your goal? That's amazing ... and GREAT! Talk about a whoosh! Congrats!!! You did much better than okay, I'd say
