      Yes, the scale is evil! When you do weigh. It's a good idea to use the same scale each time you weigh. ALL scales weigh differently, so the weight won't be accurate by using different scales. So just make sure you use the same scale each time for an accurate weigh-in.

          My scale is put up and I will be weighing on Sundays from now on.

              Hello. This is my first challenge. I already weighed this morning so I'll be starting tomorrow.

              I will only way on Sunday mornings...weekly for now since i'm testing different veggies for a week at a time on OWL 1.

              Just thought I'd post and make it official.

                Hi Scott, hi Sherri, hi fellow challengers ... Friday will be my first weigh in in the longest time. Don't think I'm actually looking forward to it, but I'm also curious. Although my clothes tell me I've at least maintained my loss, I don't know if I've lost any more weight. Even a pound or two would make me happy! Here's hoping...

                    Thanx, Sherri ... wish I had better news: I gained 3 lbs.! I have absolutely no explanation for this; I've been eating well and exercising like a fiend. My clothes aren't any tighter, so maybe it's muscle gain? I dunno. It's discouraging!

                    I had my lipid profile blood work this morning, and the doc also ordered a thyroid test, so maybe that's the problem. It's SO difficult for me to lose and maintain weight, and I don't have a heckuva lot of energy ... after my workout I just want to go back to bed!

                    Anyway, I've modified my goal weight. Truly, I think 150 lbs. is IT. Which is okay ... that's better than 187! My doc is happy with it, my husband says I look good .... so be it, then. I've changed my ticker and profile to reflect my new goal .... lose the 3 lbs. and STAY there.

                    That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

                      Realisticly you will be toying with those few pounds, up and down, throughout your journey. Welcome to maintenance!
                      Our hormones influence our weight each day. Thyroid is a hormone as well. Great job maintaning your losses. Yes, you are maintaining even with those 3 pounds. Who's to say that if you had weighed a couple days earlier that you would have been at your same weight (goal). It's just your rhythm of weightloss. You'll recognize more of what i'm saying, as you maintane, you will recognize your own bodies pattern for your maintenance.
                      Let us know your results of your lab, okay.

                        Aw, Sherri, you are such a good friend!

                        Well, looks like a couple of extra pounds are the least of my worries. The Dr.'s office called this morning and he wants to see me next week .... my cholesterol is elevated .... AGAIN. Six months ago my lipid profile was golden! Uhhhhh. Looks like I'll need to go back down the carb ladder ... AGAIN. Life ... it's what happens when you're busy making other plans!

                                Hi, Sherri, Carole and Ashley !

                                Got a good report at the doc's ... "You're a healthy lady! See you in a year." Woohoo! Seems there was a misunderstanding between the doctor and his staff ... I wasn't supposed to see him again until NOVEMBER; my total cholesterol was up a little but so were the HDLs (up to 70, from 58, which is good), so all I have to do is maintain the status quo. Fabulous. Everything else was great .... glucose, thyroid, etc etc. What a relief.

                                Oh, and I'm down a couple of pounds, too. Good times!
