            well i know i for one am going to up my workouts to 2hrs a day of brisk walking that's an hour more than i was doing last week! Hopefully i'll start my new workout routine tomorrow ! i have the worst flu my body aches i have a fever i feel completely lousy but anyways i wish everybody well for this fabulous challenge.

                Since I joined this challenge, I'm down 4 lbs...but as of the beginning of the challenge, I'm down (last night) an additional .8 lbs towards my committed six to lose!

                And since I passed the dairy rung some time ago, I added some whip cream to my "pumpkin fluff" that I eat (pumpkin puree, butter, cream cheese and cinnamon +1 Splenda, WARMED and blended in the microwave) and ohmahgoodness! It's just like pumpkin pie in my book. Hubby and I will definitely be making this for ourselves along with some berries and cream at Thanksgiving!!

                    Have a doctor's appt. tomorrow to follow up on my lipid profile, so I'll have to weigh in then. I was a bad girl today - way too many carbs - so I hope it doesn't register on the scale! Oh well ... my doc hasn't seen me in six months and I'm still quite a bit thinner than I was then

                      3 pound weight loss 12 pounds to go!
                      I will continue with my 5 mile walk 5 times weekly

                      Norah- You a bad girl? The wooshie fairy has a double life? I hope your MD appointment went well. I am sure he was very impressed!

                          Yes, darlin', the Whoosy Fairy has a DARK SIDE ! Bwaaah! Well, okay, I fell off the wagon briefly yesterday and ate ... *gasp!* .... HOME FRIES with my breakfast!!! Yes ... shocking! Honestly, I don't know what possessed me, but I scarfed down those spuds like it was my last day on earth ! I immediately went right back on the program, of course, but figured I'd pay for it this morning. MORE shock: I lost 2 lbs.... go figure! Anyway, Mommy, I promise to be a good girl and not do it again . Current weight: 159 lbs., with 19 lbs. to go to my goal of 140.

                          So .... the lipid profile was pretty good .... total cholesterol down to 214 (not stellar but nowhere near the 350 I started out with ), HDLs 56, trigylcerides 86, liver enzymes fine, blood pressure fine ... doc was a happy camper until I told him I did it via Atkins (and exercise and supplements). The man nearly had a cow! I was shocked since he's always been pretty hip to nutrition, but he went off on a rant and I sat there, staring in disbelief. I said: "Yeah, but ... look at those numbers." He continued to rant, so I just let him have his say. Finally, he said: "OK, do it for six months to get the weight off, and then NO MORE Atkins!" Good grief . Of course, I have NO intention of going off Atkins ... I'll just humor him and tell him I did!

                            I had that happen too when I cheated. I lost at first and then I gained because I kept cheating! I think that one little home fry incident shouldnt hurt you too bad.

                            When it comes to your Doctor and his rants What can you say? At least you had evidence of how healthy this plan is by your numbers. NUMBERS dont lie!

                              i lost 4 pounds this week i was sick and i bet the theraflu i was drinking by the gallons had sugar in it
                              this week im off the cough medicine and i hope lose more
                              annnnnnnnnnnnnd im going to a party tonight so i know i will be drinking and eating horrible things

                                Guys,

                                I am down to 161 lbs, but the weight doesnt seem to budge anymore, i have been working out like a mad woman for the last week and eating alright. I checked with ketostix this morning and it does turn purple.......so why am i not losing weight?? This is frustrating, because my mini-goal was to be between 150-155 lbs by end of this month......this is not happening for me
