So do you want to tell us how many cheat free days you have, Jo?

I had very yummy endives for dinner, stuffed with mixed shellfish, topped with shredded Gouda cheese and microwaved until the cheese melted. No way to cheat when you can eat something so tasty!

Did you break your previous record, Arctic?

no because i posted to the wrong thread!

actually, for me, it's harder to 'cheat' now that i am doing maintenance because so many things are available and allowable. i guess cheating for me now is overdoing one thing or another.

but still............. i posted to the wrong thread.

Day 1 complete yesterday. Don't even know what the longest ive done is. What does everyone count as a cheat? something they eat off plan or too much of one thing?

Both and more. I posted this a few pages back:

                    - a food not in my rung
                    - a food in my rung, but added the wrong way (e.g. more than 3x a week, more than I should eat from it)
                    - going over my carb level
                    - overeating
                    - not exercising

So did you figure out why you cheated, focus?

I honestly dont know why i cheat. Maybe because sometimes i feel deprived but i know its not right. I just let my emotions get the better of me. I think im learning though. Im not cheating for long periods, before i used to cheat and take months off. Dont shoot me but i feel its better to cheat than to quit.

Interesting list of what one considers cheating. For me cheating is totally disregarding this WOE/WOL by eating foods full of "bad" carbs. I guess everyone has his/her own definition of cheating & we should all respect that.

15 cheat free days for me & I'm proud of that!

No, what I wrote is not very clear. Sorry. What I meant by "not exercising" is not sticking to my exercise plan. For example, a week without exercising would be a cheat for me, because Atkins without exercise is not Atkins. I learned that when I get less strict with my exercise, my eating becomes less strict too. It also messes up my CCLL search; right now I'm eating around 45 net carbs and still losing, but without exercise I lose nothing at this carb level.

Oh Okay, Thank you for clarifying that for us. This is YOUR list of what YOU think cheating is.
My standards of a cheat is if I eat off of any rung other than the rung that i'm on.
Eating more than what i'm allowed on that rung. (Overeating allowed foods)
I concider exercise as working in my garden, doing laundry (I hang my clothes outside), cleaning my home, washing my car, mowing my yard, I'm doing one or more of these a day. Plus I workout on my Gazelle. So if one is working hard enough to get their cardio up for at least 20 minutes or longer. I consider this exercise.
For some of the folks at CC (Century Club) They may take offense to your list. Some of them are unable to exercise in our standards and are only able to do stretching and exercise from their chairs. I know because i've been there. So actually, as far as exercise, cheating is directed to what others consider what they can or can not do for exercise. Personally, I would keep exercise out of the equation here and just focus on what you're allowed to eat and how much and keep within those lines for not cheating.
So folks, if you're eating on the rungs you're supose to be and not going outside of that rung and not eating over what you're allowed. You're not cheating. Just my 2 cents.
