  • Re: 2009 Staying Cheat Free Challenge

Measuring again might be a good idea.

Are you keeping a food journal? That could help you point to what exactly causes you to cheat and then you can either avoid the situation or handle it better. When you are alone, do you cheat because you are bored or just because.... ummm.... I don't know how to write this.... because, no one sees you and thus the cheat doesn't count?

Either way, if I were you I'd try to do something when home alone, something that could keep me away from eating. Maybe go out for a walk? Or do some other exercise? This way not only will you be too busy to eat, but the endorphines will help you to relieve stress and will stabilize your appetite.

Two days down for me. But today was too easy. We had lobsters and melted butter for the 4th of July. MMmmmm. Then I had my chayote fried apples while everyone else dug into an apple pie. Can't complain today.

Well, I blew it today (not Atkins but my own "cheat definition") I went to my in-laws' house for dinner. SHe is usually pretty good to have Atkins stuff so I can't complain but tonight she had meatballs, sausage and pasta and plain iceberg for salad. I didn't want the meatballs (breading) or pasta and figured I should eat veggies that had more nutritional value than iceberg so I picked at sausages, but ate too many. Wound up with 2100 cals (250 more than I can eat and still lose weight).

I'm starting OVER. Today is my first day of a clean induction. No excuses for cheating for me. If it's not on induction I will not taste it! I'll move up the rungs if there is something I just have to have. Gonna do it right this time. Here's to Day 1....again.

Day 2 - stayed clean. I am on a sort of induction re-start after my holidays. I can tell its starting to kick in because I really didn't fancy dinner tonight - sure sign for me. Still ate though - if I stay around 2,000 calories a day I lose pretty nicely.

Thanks Alexa, its more of a mental thing. I really want to keep the numbers down. Haven't been viewing the extra cals as a cheat and haven't been losing either!!! Sooo, back to day one. Did OK today though.
