  • Re: 2009 Staying Cheat Free Challenge

Thanks, Sherri - will give it my damndest!

Now, I have a quandry.... When visiting my lovely boyfriend's lovely family, his very sweet grandma gave me a present of a HUGE bar of 70% dark belgian chocolate, because 'she knew I was on a health kick, and it's better than milk chocolate' and then proceeded to make a cup of tea so we could all enjoy a bit......
What can you say in these situations so you don't sound like an ungrateful little spoilsport???

Been there... both with my grandma and with my parents. *sigh* I take the chocolate or whatever they give me, smile, give a big hug...... and then give the food to my brother.

Good for you too, focus! How did your first day go? Smoothly or did you get nasty cravings?

Oops. I somehow missed this. If you want, you can use flax as a fiber supplement (1 tbsp per day). Then you can make Megs' Microwave Flax Meal Wafers. They are super quick, crunchy and have a nutty flavor. This is the recipe: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...al-wafers.html

So how's everyone doing? Arctic, still going cheat free?

Slidesdownmountains, did your boyfriend like the chocolate?

I have had a really crummy week -like a total jumping off and the worst part is I didn't care that I was doing it. Some heavy stress had hit my life and I just sunk myself. I don't think I have gained but I definitely have been suffering a carb hangover for the last couple of days. I totally let go for an entire day and the way I felt afterwards was so not worth it. So here I come crawling back again. The source of my stress is ebbing now (for those paying attention to my journal, yes my DH leaves to go back to China and No, LOL he isn't the source of stress) So today is day one for about the third time this year.

                        FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

Oh no! Glad that you're coming back so soon and starting day 1 again today. I've lost track of how many times I've had a day 1. I know what it's like to have a bad week and therefore make food choices you know aren't right. You have brought up an interesting point about the carb headache--I had a really bad headache yesterday and again today and I wonder if it's because I went over on my carbs? Ever since being sick last week I haven't been as good at visiting this support board and haven't logged foods into Fit Day either so I can't even go back and see if that's the problem.

Anyway, sorry life is stressful. I'm glad to see you back here though. I am so motivated by your posts and seeing the progress that you've made. It's because of your post about how strong you got doing pushups that I am doing pushups every day--and that is something that I never would have thought I could do! Thank you!

I was wondering where you are! I checked your journal and wasn't sure if you're just busy or off track. Glad to see you back!

If you only had Induction foods, it shouldn't happen even if you go over your carbs. Are you feeling better today?

Hmmm.... I'm wondering how many are in that challenge because of Jill talking about push-ups. I joined for exactly the same reason.

Day 11 for me today. I made it through my birthday on thursday without any problem of staying on track. It's smooth sailing, right back to goal for me. Yay!
Tomorrow is weigh day and i'm really looking forward to seeing how my week went. I certainly am feeling lighter.
