Man, I've been reading a little on that site link above, sounds like a bunch of real wacked out greedy you know what's --nothing but another Cult.
I was reading on it for a while this morning, too. Its not suprising that a number of people get sucked in....so many people are looking for happiness and they promise to show you the way to solve all of your problems!

As I think someone previously mentioned, it does seem like its a way for the celebrities to justify their success/lifestyle....they have, after all, made it happen for themselves thru good 'Scientology' living!

I'm kinda surprised that noone has slammed us yet...I thought for sure some members must be Scientologists. Maybe they are just out for lunch having cocktails w/ other Aliens!! :icondance

I was thinking that too but ADBB doesn't charge a couple thousand to be here so maybe they wouldn't know how to handle being helped for free and by people who aren't shaking them down at the door for money.

Man would this stuff ever make for a great Sci-fi series! ;D

Not only looking for happiness, imo, but people who are really dissatisfied with their mediocre lives and want to believe they are something so much greater than what they are. The notion of being somewhat God-like and all powerful instead of some drone flipping burgers at Wendy's must be a great lure. No doubt its what causes the less fortunate to take whatever means necessary to try to attain what the successful and wealthy stars have achieved (supposedly through Scientology?)

I wonder if it works in the same manner as an MLM. Like, the little people on the bottom forking over everything they have to climb the ladders supporting the people on top. Is there any kind of monetary gain by readhing the higher levels? By the time they get to the "top" even if its a total scam and they see the lie, they're happy as a clam and don't want the $$$ to stop pouring in.

Don't forget your tinfoil hat. But for $360,000 I hope that's thrown in for free!

Experts say it can cost — in “suggested donations” — more than $100,000 to attain a level of OT3. While this is apparently not troubling for the Hollywood crowd, there are scores of tales of average people spending decades and bankrupting themselves in the pursuit.
:sadblinky That's really sad. I don't understand how this can be a religion? It sounds more like a very very expensive help group. I heard rumors somewhere that when celebrities want or try to leave then they're threatened with all their dirty laundry being released. Have NO idea if it's true or not. Hubbard was a science fiction writer and Scientology suuuuuure sounds like something out of a novel.

I personally think Cruise was looking for someone he could control and convert to his "religion" easily. This girl looks like a starstruck teenager, all goo goo gah gah that Tom Cruise is her boyfriend!

I think Nicole Kidman ran back to the Catholic church when they divorced. Maybe she wasn't able to exorcise her alien soul or something? :sarcasm

The last time I was at my dentists office, he had a display of 'free' L. Ron Hubbard books in the waiting room. Freaked me right out! Almost enough to make me want to find a new dentist. Who knows, he might zone out when looking in my mouth...he'll think he's spotted some alien antennas and start pulling!!!! :yikes

Actually, he's a great dentist....I won't hold this against him. Just watch me run if he offers me any 'coolade'!! :guns

Your post made me laugh Goofy. Enough so the kids came over...what's so funny? I told them in a nutshell what the thread was about and summed up Scientology for them. Cracked them up. Especially the aliens part.
