Sorry, it was my first post. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Too bad the Bush administration and media won't allow us to see the flag-draped coffins of our fallen heroes.

      Excuse me, please!

      Welcome!

Usually people introduce themselves in the introductions forum farther up the page. They don't come to chit chat and dig out an old buried thread that's controversial and try to revive it. It could make people think that they're just stirring things up.

You quoted Bowulf in your earlier post. FYI, Kent is a well respected part of this low carb community. He has lost over 186 pounds and is an inspiration to many of us. He has a lovely family with 4 children. And, I could be wrong, but think that he has enlisted in the military.

Again, welcome to . I wish you luck on your weight loss journey!

Thanks! I didn't mean to stir the pot. Thank you for the welcome and good wishes. I apologize for sounding snarky. I am going to avoid political discussions and focus on weight loss.

Yeah this place has been much more "pleasant" since all the political yahooism died down.

Besides since Bush's approval ratings are dropping like a stone and Crawford is under seige as he hides inside these problems will take care of themselves.
I saw gas for over $3.00 yesterday at one station. I guess fighting over every oil-producing area in the world really is worth it.
I guess rising gas prices will really help the obesity epidemic because who can afford food anymore after paying for gas??

Now this thread is officially on my lock/delete watch.

Re: What do we think about a Draft?

Iap, why would you post about this place being more pleasant and then turn around and slam the current administration and let mods handle the fallout? (officially on your lock/delete watch)

I'll give the other members and mods credit and look past it.

Now, wait until the Gulf hurricane passes through and watch the gas prices soar. The oil rigs off the cost of Louisiana are going to take a beating!

                I'm just a troublemaker
Besides I wouldn't call that a slam...just a little prod in the ribs.
That's not the best material I can come up with.

I started a separate gas-price thread (without asking "who's to blame")

I can see gas price gouging in the next week or two...prepare yourself for $3-5 gas depending on where you live.
