OK, this one really scares me. This soldier was with a group of other soldiers in Hoenfels, W.Germany. They were walking back to town after having a few beers down a dusty road. All of a sudden this soldier (who came from a very religious family who didn't appreciate his drinking) floated above the ground and was suddenly thrust across the road into a ditch. The other soldiers asked him what the heck he was doing? They were all scared to death and hurried to the barracks.

Once they lay down in their bunks (same room) they heard a door open. It was in an area where there were no doors. Footsteps walked the entire length of the corridor with heavy boots, then a door was heard closing. (again, no door where the sound came from). The soldiers were all completely sober now and scared to death. When they told me about it, they all said that it was the scariest crap they've ever dealt with and didn't understand what happened.

I can see 'auras', but anyone can see those. They're electromagnetic pulses much as what Kirlean photography can pick up.

I've never really experienced anything supernatural, but there have been a couple circumstances in my life that a feeling came over me and made me change my plans rapidly. If I hadn't, I probably wouldn't be here today.

1. Driving from Florida to Tennessee when I was 17. We were on the highway and I was driving one night. I have a pretty heavy foot when driving and am normally always in the far left lane where traffic is normally faster. While driving I got this feeling that I wanted to move into the slow lane behind a couple cars. This is not something I would normally do when traffic is moving well in the fast lane. I finally listened to the feeling and moved over. After moving over, the car that was in front of me in the fast lane jumps over to the slow lane and a car going the opposite direction speeds down the lane we were just in. We found out the next morning that a drunk driver jumped the medium and took out a car of 4. Everyone died in the accident. If I didn't move over before the car in front of me, I'm sure it would have been us that was hit.

2. In high school, my cousin and friends were in a chorus group in which they had a lot of performances. We decided to go out to eat after the performance and the only place open was a Taco Bell around the area. We were almost there when all of us started questioning whether or not we should be going there. We were starved since it was almost 1am and we hadn't eaten since lunch, but finally we just decided that we shouldn't go there. The next morning I got a call from my friend who asked me if I listened to the news that morning. Of course I didn't. I was in high school. The news wasn't high on my list of things to do. I found out that the Taco Bell that we were going to go to was robbed that night. There were two customers and the workers that was stuffed into a freezer. One of the workers got shot.

Just thought I'd mention those two circumstances.

My mother died of cancer when i was 17. My dad had died a year earlier and i was (still am LOL) an only child so i lived alone in the house. A couple of days after her funeral, my boyfriend at the time had left about 10:30 p.m. and i went to bed (2nd floor) the sound of the back door opening and someone walking down the hallway woke me. bf had a very loud hotrod car that would have woke me if he'd come back so i knew it wasn't him. I heard the footsteps coming up the stairs (the stairs were hardwood and really creaked) I tried to scream..I tried to move, and I was completely paralyzed. It was actually painful. She came into the room, and kissed me on the cheek and was gone. I never saw her..i couldn't even open my eyes..but i know it was her. the second she was gone so was the paralysis. I was terrifed, even though i knew it was my mother.

after her death, there were a couple of times that the family would be around the table at xmas dinner etc and lights would flash when we talked about her.

Debbie Y's two events reminded me of a couple of things that happened to me.

DH and I had a friend who was about our age. Sometime in late 1998, he developed several small tumors in his brain, which were inoperable. We were kept aware of his condition for awhile and then heard nothing. On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, 1999, he came to mind. I had this eerie feeling that he had possibly died. About a couple of hours later, another friend called up to speak to DH, who was out working. He then told me that the other fellow had died.

The other incident happened this past July. Between the hours of 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., I had a very uneasy feeling that something had happened to somebody. About 12:30 p.m., the stepdaughter of my husband's uncle called up to tell us that DH's uncle had died of a massive heart attack (age 63). In turn, I had to call DH at work to give him the bad news (they were very close and his uncle was his best man at our wedding). A few weeks later, I asked his wife what time did he die. She said that he suffered the heart attack at about 10:30 a.m. and was pronounced dead at around 11:30 a.m.

Ok,i have been holding this one back...It only happened once...It was crazy...Oh and when you read this just remember i dont drink lol...Back a couple of years ago my mom had a cancer scare,they found a big tumor under her bladder...She went over the edge,i was there with her all the time...I was driving one night with her to T.* M&x...All of a sudden,i hear my grandmas voice she passed in 96,She said tell Elaine shes alright theres nothing wrong..So i told her..She said oh yeah dont mess with me im upset enough..Well then my grandfather said the same thing..Same response from mom..I on the other hand was freaking out...Then my late uncle who i met when i was 4,and never saw again,cause we moved,came through and said..Tell Elaine to remember the candy in my pocket!!!!!!!My mom froze.......I said what,she said when she was a little girl he always had candy in his pocket for her,he was diabetic and never ate candy..This was something i never new..Now its gets weird..I think im losing it..I said everyone go away lol...Oh no here comes another,Tell your mom Rose is here,I said who is Rose???Shes your great great great grandmother,ok well she said your ok too....Shes crying im losing it..WE got to the store,,,I walked in and was getting ready to cry they would not go away...I asked them too...THey kept saying tell her about Ray,you must tell her about Ray...Well we leave the store i said ma...These people wont leave me alone until i tell you about Ray...She froze all the way,And said OMGGGGGGG........It was her great great great grandmother on her dads side,her name was rachel,but they called her Ray..Now i knew nothing of any of this..Oh i also learnrd that night that my uncle and grandfather still dont get along,and never even knew thay they didnt...So anyway my mom of course is my only witness to this..We will never forget that night...She went and had her hysterectomy and it turned out to be a very large fybriod tumor??on spelling..She was ok....I know its weird but it did happen...

Well, the house I used to live in was haunted. We never told anyone at first cause we thought people would think we were crazy. then, one day, I was at the mailboxes and a neighbor asked me if anything wierd was happening at my house. I said sometimes. She said she thought our whole neighborhood was haunted. She'd talked to others who had strange happenings. In my house, there was a man upstairs. I never saw him, but had strange lights at night behind furniture (such as dressers and cabinets) that I later learned were called orbs. Doors always shut and locked upstairs too. Lights blew out almost every week and radios and lights came on by themselves.

Anyways, we always heard stuff upstairs, but never saw anyone. Then, One night at dinner, my grandson mentions this guy upstairs as if it is something we all know about. We said, "Who?" He said, "You know, the man who lives upstairs in grandma's house." Everyone at the table couldn't believe it. He described the man and said he never talks, just watches the kids and if a grown up comes, he goes away.

Then, my daughter moved into a house in another town. She was giving the kids a bath and took her oldest son out of tub. Told him to dress and lay on her bed while she got the other one his bath. When she went back into the room, her oldest says, "mom, how did that man walk through the couch?" She said, "What man?" He said..."I looked down the hall into the living room and a man with a baseball cap walked through the couch. He said the man was very tall.

Well, a few weeks later, my husband was helping my daughter's husband on the car and a neighbor came over to talk. He went on to tell them that the man who used to live there was a tall man who always wore a baseball cap who died of cancer. When we heard that, we knew that my grandson had definitely seen the ghost of the man who used to live there.

When my husband & I were in Italy in Feb 2004, one of the hotels we stayed in was haunted. It was in Venice.


My husband had gotten up early to get us some coffee. The stairway was very creaky and steep. There were a lot of stairs going down, then you make a turn to the right going down a few more to the public rooms on the main level. He was heading towards the stairs when he heard several footsteps running to the stairs. They went down the stairs at a full run. Instead of making the turn for the rest of the stairs, it was as though they ran right off of them.

When he came back to the room, his face was white as he was telling me about it. As we were leaving the hotel for the day, he asked the desk guy about it. The desk guy said yes, things like that have been reported by guests. Luckily, it was harmless. I, personally, did not witness that.



When I was quite young, I opened my eyes one night and there was an apparition (sp) on my bedroom wall of a man. A few days later, I was describing this to my sister. I was able to tell her in detail what he looked like. She told me who it was and that he had died a few years before I was born. THAT was freaky!

This morning spray bottle flew off the bricks of my fireplace where I set it down last night. Stuff like that happens a lot...good thing I'm not scared of ghosts/spirits! Lol! The worst is when I was going through RCIA to join the Catholic Church. Having never been baptised I think something was upset with me. Things would fall over or off my dresser and sometimes I would feel something push on the bed. I would just shut my eyes and pretend nothing was happening. The worst is when I would feel a "whoosh" like feeling rush towards my face. I would just remind myself that God was with me and I didn't have anything to fear. I've got a couple of stories from long ago but they aren't very interesting.

I've loved reading this thread! So many interesting stories!
