I am really curious ...who's got them and do you want to show?

    Re: Tattoos???

    Got nine of them.
Most were home-made jobs done by friends before I turned 18 so they are not the best quality but they all are special to me.
Will try to post some pics later once I get some batteries for the camera.

    Thinking about getting one?

      Re: Tattoos???

      I have 3.
I have a cat face on my outer right calf that I got...oh geez...over 10 years ago now, I suppose. My sister, niece and myself had a girls weekend and each got one..it was pretty cool.
Recently I got a memorial tattoo to mark the passing of our Moochiecat: a pawprint traced from a photo of when she walked in the snow on our deck. He did an amazing job and he coloured it in her torti colours. I had it put over my heart. Here's a link to a fuzzy pic I took of myself in the mirror showing it.

At the same time I also got a teeny tiny paw print on my right upper arm where she accidentally scratched me during that last sad trip to the vet, and I wanted to mark that area.

I'm very happy with my tattoos and they all mean so much to me.

          Re: Tattoos???

I've seen some absolutely beautiful tatoo art on the web.

Often I've toyed with the idea of getting a butterfly on my shoulderblade. But I feel that I'm kind of old to do it now. Besides, sometimes I wonder what those tatoos will look like when a person is 70 years old. But, I guess no one will care anyway.

              Re: Tattoos???

Nobody is EVER too old to have something pierced or tattoo'ed!
I say go for it...express yourself...in the grand scheme of things it's not going to change the course of the world if I have 3 or 30 tattoos, but it will enhance my life in it's own way.
If it wasn't for my bf (he's very conservative, bless his heart) and mainly, my lack of $$, I'd get more. I'd like one on my inner wrist.

Oh, I know. I'm just way too conservative. I enjoy looking at other people's tatts, but I don't think it's for me. I want the kind that wash off!

And, I'm NEVER getting anything pierced. I was almost 20 before I got my ears pierced. I stood in line at a department store, watched them do other people for awhile, got nauseous and had to leave. I did come back the next day and get it done. But that's it for me.

So, who's going to post a real picture in this thread?

I'm with you piasa, I'm way too conservative too. I'm married to a tatooed biker guy ), but I'd never actually get a tatoo myself. Two of our friends are actaully tatoo artists for a living.. I think I'm the only person in our circle of friends without any...

I watched my husband get one of his tatoos and i just really can't see myself going thru that pain...

What scares me is all these young girls getting huge tatoos acroos they're lower back etc..I think about my sense of style/judgement when i was 18/19..and it makes me think i can almost guarantee that those girls are going to regret that decision (we have alot of friends with daughters who've done it)
