    I remember when I was in 3rd grade, we got a tv of our own. I'd come home for lunch and my mom was always watching a show called PETE & GLADYS. It was sort of like I love Lucy.

      Gumby!!!! I loved Gumby. I have a Gumby broach. I have a Pokey one too. I haven't worn them in a while. Hmmm. Maybe I should go dig them out.

        Mine was VIKY some swedish comics about a young boy who is a viking.
        The first time I went to teh cinema I watched Pipi
        My mother used to read to us a book from a swedish author about a boy and a goose
        One of the first books I read was Emil....
        It seems Ive always known I would end uo living here

          I dream of Genie...I was 5. I'd watch it in the mornings before school, it was my cue..when it went off I was to turn the tv off and leave for school. dunno where my mom was? maybe went back to bed? lol...whatever...

            The Andy Griffith Show, although it might have been reruns by then. Heck, I still watch it on occasion. I love that show.

              Captain Kangaroo (along with Mr. Greenjeans, Bunny Rabbit, and Mr. Moose .. oh and MAGIC DRAWING BOARD). Mighty Mouse. Mickey Mouse Club. I Love Lucy. Candid Camera. Bonanza (I was in love with Michael Landon...when he died, I cried).

              ....those were the days......

                      LOL, my kids watched all of those. I will admit that for much of my early years I was a soap opera addict. My favorite was General Hospital. My Grandmother was even addicted to the Hospital until the day she died.

                        dang y'all got to stay up later then I did to see bonanza we had to go to bed when the wonderful world of disney went off on Sunday nights. week nights we didn't watch after Chet and David said good night

                            Yes! Friday nights were great watching those shows. I used to watch them with my mom while all my brothers and my dad went to basketball games.

                              One of the local tv stations used to show the Three Stooges and Our Gang/Little Rascals between 7 and 8 weekday mornings. At 8:30 they used to show "Romper Room"---that mirror thing used to creep me out!
