We use ours to chat with relatives online that are far away from us. It gives them the opportunity to not just hear the kids, but see them too! I think that's pretty cool.

I use it to chat with the girls on occasion - and it might be anything from "omg..look at my hair!" to "do these pants make my butt look big?"

I can see my family and my friends in Portugal. Before moving here I would meet my bf online everynight.It is just a way for ppl to feel closer.

My son uses it when he chats with people, especially those we've moved far away from. Our daughter has one, and she's moved to another Province. However, I've never been around the computer when she's online with our son - have to remind him the next time, I guess. I don't, personally, chat on MSN or wherever a person would use one.

We use it to keep in touch with family in the states, phillipines, spain......and last november having the web cam on saved my mother in laws life.

We don't have one. But the daycare my sister used to work at had one in every class room. I think it was great that the parents could be at work and tune in any time they pleased to see what was going on in their childs classroom! I would imagine that would give them a little peace of mind with the way the world is these days!

I like to check the webcam sites for our mountain area to see what the weather looks like! I would love to find one for our coast that actually works but haven't so far!

My grandbabies live 70 miles away and i dont get to see them as often as id like too.My daughter puts them on the web cam and they think its so funny! They get to see hubby and i and they laugh. We get to see them that way everyday.They are 3 and 1 so they dont sit there to long of coarse .

I use a video phone! It is awesome!!!! I can look, talk, and listen and it is so easy and inexpensive that it is way better than a traditional phone! Infact I take it on vacation with me and my friend call me on it and it is a local call for them!!!!

My boyfriend and I didn't get to see eachother often, but we both got those cheapie ones (only 15 bucks or so) and now we get on the phone and have jetson like conversations! Also, my family lives in the UK while I'm in the States right now. They were pretty shocked to see me sans 50 pounds!

I don't own a web cam, but always thought people often used them to indulge in a spot of....shhhhhhhhhhh, cyber sex.... Just goes to show what wrong impressions you can get by reading trashy magazines in the hairdresser's!!!! Or are people just not saying......???

I guess I would be one of those who just arent saying since I lived 3000 kms away from my bf.
